Happy birthday request

We thank you for sharing this birthday request, and we rejoice with you in the gift of another year of life! Birthdays are a wonderful opportunity to reflect on God’s faithfulness, His blessings, and the purpose He has for each of us. The Bible reminds us in Psalm 139:13-16 that we are fearfully and wonderfully made by our Creator, who knew us even before we were formed in the womb. Every day of our lives is a testament to His love and sovereignty, and we are called to live each one for His glory.

As we lift you up in prayer, we also want to gently address something important: your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. The Bible is clear that we come before the Father *only* through the name of Jesus. In John 14:6, Jesus says, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."* Similarly, Acts 4:12 declares, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* Our prayers are only heard because of the sacrifice Jesus made for us on the cross, and it is by His name—and His name alone—that we have access to God.

If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so today. The Bible tells us in Romans 10:9-10, *"that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes resulting in righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation."* There is no greater birthday gift than the assurance of eternal life in Christ.

Now, let us pray for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You today in the precious and mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this beloved child of Yours on their birthday. Lord, we thank You for the gift of their life, for the breath in their lungs, and for the plans You have for them—plans to prosper them and not to harm them, plans to give them hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11). We ask that You pour out Your blessings upon them in abundance, not just for this day, but for every day You have ordained for them.

Father, we pray that this birthday would be filled with Your joy, peace, and love. May they feel Your presence surrounding them, and may they be reminded of how deeply You love them. Grant them good health, strength, and wisdom for the year ahead. Open doors of opportunity for them, and let Your favor rest upon them in every area of their life.

Most of all, Lord, we pray that this birthday would mark a deeper commitment to You. If they do not yet know You as their Savior, we ask that You draw them to Yourself today. Soften their heart to receive Your truth, and let them surrender their life to Jesus Christ. For those who already walk with You, we pray for a renewed passion to seek Your face, to grow in faith, and to live in a way that honors You in all things.

We rebuke any plans of the enemy to steal the joy of this day or to bring discouragement, loneliness, or fear. Satan has no authority here, for greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). We declare that this birthday will be a celebration of Your goodness, a time of reflection on Your faithfulness, and a stepping stone into the destiny You have prepared.

Thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayer. May this year be their best yet, not by the world’s standards, but by the measure of Your will being fulfilled in their life. We ask all this in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We encourage you to take time today to thank God for another year of life and to seek His will for the year ahead. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* May this be a year where you draw closer to Him, walk in obedience to His Word, and experience the fullness of His love.

If there is anything in your life that is not aligned with God’s Word—whether in relationships, habits, or priorities—we urge you to surrender it to Him today. His ways are perfect, and His plans for you are good. Walk in His truth, and you will find true joy and fulfillment. God bless you abundantly on your birthday and always!

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
