Father Lord,
You know what is to be betrayed because you were betrayed by your friend Judas. You also know what it is to be denied, as your friend Peter denied you not one but three times. Father, you know what it is like to be abandoned in your time of need as none of your friends were around when you were in the Garden praying for strength to face your death. Therefore, I know that you understand what this young mother to be is going through.
Father, wrap your arms around her and give her your joy, which is found only by seeking after you. Father, I remember when I had lost my joy, my boyfriend had left me when I was in a foreign country with no one. Lord, the only way I was able to make it through was by clinging to you by praying and reading your Word each day. Father, may she do this and find the joy which I had, which did surpass all understanding.
Father, she is going through a rough time and needs to be enfolded. Thank you God that she has not decided to have an abortion. Father, as You know, when faced with these struggles, it is so easy to fall into sin. However, your daughter has resisted it. Lord, please continue to keep her.
Father, I pray for this child's father. When faced with huge responsibilities, many men run because they can. Father, hold his feet. Even if he is not what you want for your daughter, please let him be there for her in this difficult time and also be there for his child. For this to happen, Lord, it requires a softening of his heart. So Lord, cause whatever circumstance that you will to soften it.
May this child be a child of God who will grow in your ways and be a blessing to your people.
