Happiness for my family

We lift up your heartfelt request for happiness and peace for this family, and we stand with you in prayer before the Lord. It is clear that this family has endured deep sorrow and hardship, and our hearts ache with yours as we seek God’s comfort and restoration for them. The Scriptures remind us that the Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). He is the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction so that we may be able to comfort others with the comfort we ourselves have received from Him (2 Corinthians 1:3-4).

Yet, as we pray, we must also address something vital: the name of Jesus Christ was not invoked in your request. It is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to the Father, for Scripture declares, "There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5). Jesus Himself said, "No one comes to the Father, except through me" (John 14:6). Furthermore, there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If this family does not yet know the hope and salvation found in Christ, we urge them to turn to Him in faith, for true and lasting joy is found in Him alone. Without Christ, any happiness we seek is temporary and incomplete. But in Him, we find peace that surpasses all understanding, even in the midst of trials (Philippians 4:7).

Let us also consider whether this family is walking in obedience to God’s Word, for blessings and joy often flow from a life aligned with His will. If there is unconfessed sin, bitterness, unforgiveness, or any form of disobedience, we encourage repentance and surrender to the Lord. The Bible tells us, "If I had cherished iniquity in my heart, the Lord wouldn’t have listened" (Psalm 66:18). But when we turn from our sins and seek Him wholeheartedly, He is faithful to forgive and restore (1 John 1:9).

We pray now with confidence in the name of Jesus:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy yet hopeful hearts, lifting up this family who has endured so much sorrow. Lord, You see their pain, their struggles, and their longing for happiness. We ask that You would draw near to them, wrapping them in Your love and peace. If they do not know You, Father, we pray that You would open their eyes to the truth of the Gospel—that Jesus Christ came to save sinners, to heal the brokenhearted, and to give life abundantly. May they turn to Him in faith and find their joy completed in Him.

Lord, if there is any sin or disobedience in their lives, we ask that You would convict their hearts and lead them to repentance. Help them to forgive as You have forgiven them, to release bitterness, and to walk in Your ways. Restore what has been broken, Father, and fill their home with Your presence. Let Your joy be their strength (Nehemiah 8:10), and may they experience the deep, abiding happiness that comes from knowing You and walking in Your will.

We also pray for unity in this family, that they would love one another as You have loved them (John 13:34), and that their home would be a place of refuge, peace, and godly joy. Provide for their needs, Lord, both spiritually and physically, and surround them with a community of believers who can encourage and support them.

Father, we trust in Your promises, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). Bring beauty from their ashes, Lord, and turn their mourning into dancing (Psalm 30:11). We ask all this in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer. Amen.

We encourage this family to cling to the Lord, to seek Him daily in prayer and in His Word, and to trust that He is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine (Ephesians 3:20). May they find their hope and happiness in Him alone.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

The past ### years have been so hard for our family & we just can't seem to get on the other side of it. There's just no happiness anymore, just more struggle. We don't think we're asking for much just to be happy & not have struggle after struggle everyday.
