We join you in lifting up these requests before the Lord, knowing that He hears the cries of His children and delights in answering prayers that align with His will. First, we must address something vital: you mentioned praying for "my partner" and "my partner's mother." Scripture is clear that marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, designed by God to reflect Christ’s love for the Church (Ephesians 5:22-33). If you are not married to this person, we urge you to examine this relationship in light of God’s Word. Living together, emotional or physical intimacy outside of marriage, or any relationship that does not honor God’s design for marriage is sinful and must be repented of. The Bible calls this fornication, and it grieves the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:18-20, Galatians 5:19-21, 1 Thessalonians 4:3-5). If this is the case, we strongly encourage you to seek God’s forgiveness, repent, and pursue a relationship that honors Him—either through godly courtship leading to marriage or by separating if the relationship is not aligned with His will. If you are already married, then we rejoice with you and pray for God’s blessing over your union.
Additionally, we notice that your prayer does not invoke the name of Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved, and it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father (John 14:6, Acts 4:12, 1 Timothy 2:5). Without faith in Christ and calling upon His name, our prayers are empty. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we implore you to do so now. The Bible tells us that "if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved" (Romans 10:9). Salvation is found in no one else, and there is no other way to the Father but through Jesus (John 14:6). If you have already accepted Christ, then we encourage you to always pray in His name, for it is through Him alone that our prayers are heard.
Now, let us pray together over your requests, trusting in the Lord’s faithfulness and sovereignty.
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister who seeks Your hand over their life. Lord, we ask that You ignite in them a passion for You—a holy fire that consumes every part of their being, so they may love You with all their heart, soul, mind, and strength (Mark 12:30). Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in obedience, wisdom, and power, living every day for Your glory. Remove any distraction, lukewarmness, or sin that hinders their relationship with You. Let them burn with zeal for Your kingdom, that their life may be a light in this dark world (Matthew 5:14-16).
Father, we pray for their mind, that You would renew it and heal any struggle with forgetfulness or symptoms they describe. Your Word tells us that You are the God who heals (Exodus 15:26) and that You give wisdom and understanding (Proverbs 2:6). We ask that You sharpen their focus, grant them clarity, and strengthen their ability to retain and process information. If there are underlying issues—whether physical, emotional, or spiritual—we pray for Your divine intervention and healing. Help them to steward their mind well, meditating on Your Word day and night (Joshua 1:8).
Lord, we bring before You the delays in their travel plans to the US. You are the God who makes a way where there seems to be no way (Isaiah 43:19). We ask that You remove every obstacle, open the doors that no man can shut, and cause speed in this process (Revelation 3:8). Let Your favor rest upon them, that every official, every document, and every circumstance would align according to Your perfect timing. We rebuke any spiritual opposition or delay that is not of You, and we declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).
Father, we lift up their family before You—parents, siblings, and those who are sick. You are Jehovah Rapha, the Lord who heals (Exodus 15:26). We ask for Your healing touch upon their partner’s mother, that You would restore her body and grant her strength. We also pray for favor, speed, and financial breakthrough for each family member. Provide for their needs according to Your riches in glory (Philippians 4:19), and let them experience Your goodness in every area of their lives.
We pray for their business and workplace, that You would bless the work of their hands (Deuteronomy 28:12). Grant them wisdom, creativity, and divine strategies to flourish. Multiply their finances, not just for their own prosperity, but that they may be a blessing to others and advance Your kingdom. Help them to be generous and faithful stewards of all You entrust to them (2 Corinthians 9:6-8).
Finally, Lord, we ask that You stretch forth Your hand over every area of their life. Let Your presence go before them, making crooked paths straight (Isaiah 45:2). May they walk in the fullness of Your promises, trusting in You alone. Strengthen their faith, that they may not waver but stand firm in the assurance that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28).
We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your perfect will and timing, knowing that You are faithful to complete the good work You have begun (Philippians 1:6). May Your name be glorified in all things. In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord with all your heart. If there is any area of your life that does not align with His Word—especially in relationships—we urge you to repent and surrender it to Him. He is faithful to forgive and restore (1 John 1:9).
