We understand that you're feeling heartbroken and unappreciated, especially when you've invested time and effort into loving others, including your neighbor and the man you've been waiting for. It's important that you are loved and know you are loved. However, it's crucial to align our expectations and actions with biblical principles. Firstly, we should love others without expecting anything in return, as Jesus taught in Luke 6:35 WEB: "But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing back; and your reward will be great, and you will be children of the Most High; for he is kind toward the unthankful and evil."
However, we also need to address the nature of your relationship. You mentioned waiting for a man you thought would be your husband and the issues you are facing. It's important to know godly relationships are built on mutual love, respect, and a commitment to biblical principles. The Bible teaches in Ephesians 5:31 WEB: "For this cause a man will leave his father and mother, and will be joined to his wife. And the two will become one flesh." Marriage is a sacred bond between a man and a woman, and it should be approached with prayer and godly counsel.
We also want to address concerns that this might possibly be a sexual relationship outside of marriage. We understand this is a delicate issue, but it's important to address. The Bible teaches: Ephesians 5:3 WEB But sexual immorality, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not even be mentioned among you, as becomes saints;
It's clear that you're hurting, and it's important to seek God's will in this situation. Pray for God's guidance and strength to make the right decisions. Trust in the promise of the good things to come with marriage. We see in the Bible: James 1:17 WEB: "Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom can be no variation, nor turning shadow." If this man is not treating you with love and respect, and it does seem that he isn't, it may be that God has a different plan for your life.
Concerning your prayer, we notice that the name of Jesus Christ was not mentioned. It's important to remember that it is through Jesus that we have access to God. As we and you believe Jesus is our Savior and the intermediary between us and God. We see in the bible: John 14:6 WEB Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister who is feeling heartbroken and unappreciated. Lord, we ask for Your comfort and guidance in her life. Help her to love others as You have loved us, without expecting anything in return.
We pray for wisdom in her relationship. Show her Your will and the right path to take. If this man is not Your perfect and chosen one for her, we pray for the strength and courage to let him go. We pray that she will look to you and your timing for a godly spouse. We also pray for healing from any past hurts and for a renewed sense of hope and purpose in her life. Guide her in your ways and help her to walk in your paths. We pray for discernment, and clarity and your will be done in her life. We pray for a husband for her if that is your will. We ask for strength, guidance, and a hedge of protection for her in the name of Jesus Christ.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage to stay strong and courageous knowing that God has a plan and a future for you. We are praying for you and with you. Be open to godly counsel and the leading of the Holy Spirit as to the best course of action.
