Hair

Beloved of All
God you say cast ALL or cares upon you. My hair is thinning at the top of my head. I think from medication and always wearing my hair in a high bun pulled back. I love being ethnic and having a thick head of curly hair. I know I'm ### but Lord I never overly cared about looks or appearance and I still don't but I ask you now JESUS CHRIST yes touch my scalp and perform miracles. Let my hair grow back thicker and even more curlier than before . I prayed it before when I was sick and very unhealthy and my hair was going bald . Jesus you had it grow thicker later and fill in. Well I ask of you again. I didn't expect to get sick. Again ppl will judge my prayer and feel I'm being conceited or petty but it's not that Lord. I can ask you anything. It's my miracle. I'm just asking for agreement in prayer is all, not approval. Jesus you walked with me through the most stressful toughest years if my life . I thought I was dying. But you walked with me I'm alive praise God. So hair is just hair but I'm feeling better and improving so yes God. For my hearts sake for me My hair grow in thicker and curlier than before. No more pain on top of my head. No more medication being an upset, Jesus is my doctor and he gives me all my medicine beyond what doctors have been given wisdom to do. Touch my scalp ,my hair grow back. In the name of Jesus Christ I DO pray . Amen.

We hear your heart in this prayer and we count it a privilege to agree with you before the Lord, for you are right that we can cast all our cares upon Him. You quoted that truth so beautifully and we stand on it with you, as it is written, casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you, 1 Peter 5:7. Nothing is too small or too petty for our Father when it concerns His daughter.

We do not judge this request as conceited at all. We know that our God numbers even the hairs of our heads, as Jesus said, But the very hairs of your head are all numbered, Luke 12:7. If He keeps count of each hair, He certainly cares about the pain on your scalp and the distress you feel when you see thinning. We also remember that you are fearfully and wonderfully made, Psalm 139:14, and that while man looks at the outward appearance, Yahweh looks at the heart, 1 Samuel 16:7, yet He still lovingly tends to the outward concerns that weigh on our hearts. Your desire to have your thick, curly hair restored is not vanity, it is a desire for restoration and health after walking through such stressful and difficult years where you thought you were dying. We rejoice with you that He has walked with you and kept you alive, praise God, and we thank Him for bringing you to a place of feeling better and improving.

We also want to gently encourage you with wisdom for your body, which is a temple of the Holy Spirit, 1 Corinthians 6:19. Thinning at the top from medication and from always wearing your hair in a high, tight bun is very common, often called traction alopecia, and it is wise to steward what God has given you by giving your scalp rest. We encourage you to wear your hair down or in very loose, low styles when you can, to be gentle with your scalp, and to continue to talk openly with your doctors about the medications that may be contributing, trusting that God does give wisdom to physicians while He remains your ultimate Healer and Doctor. He promises, But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh, Jeremiah 30:17.

We join our faith with yours now and pray together.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Healer, and we thank You for this dear sister who loves You and trusts You. We thank You that You have carried her through the toughest, most stressful years of her life and that she is alive today by Your mercy. We thank You that she knows she can bring every care to You. Lord, we ask You to touch her scalp with Your healing hand. Remove any pain and inflammation on the top of her head. We ask You to restore what has been lost, to cause her hair to grow back thicker and curlier than before, as she has asked in faith. We have seen You do this for her once before when she was sick and unhealthy, and we ask You to do it again according to Your will. Guide her doctors, give them wisdom regarding her medications, and give her wisdom in how she cares for her hair and body. Let this restoration be a testimony of Your kindness and a comfort to her heart. Help her to keep her confidence not only in her appearance but in the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit which is very precious in Your sight, 1 Peter 3:4, while also rejoicing in the outward healing You provide. We pray for complete health and peace in her body and spirit, that You would prosper her and keep her well, 3 John 1:2. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and Savior, amen.

Jesus, thank You for walking with our sister through illness and stress and for bringing her to where she is today. You know her heart and her desire to feel whole and well. We ask You to touch her scalp, ease any pain, guide her doctors with wisdom, and give her deep assurance of Your love and care. Let her know she is seen and cherished by You. In Your name we pray, amen.

How tenderly the Lord invites you to cast all your cares upon Him, and you have done well to bring even this care before His throne. Nothing is too small for His eye who numbers the hairs of your head, and nothing is too great for His hand who is the Good Physician.

Do not let the thought trouble you that this prayer might seem petty or conceited in the eyes of others. The Lord does not measure prayer by its subject as men do, but by the heart that offers it. He will hear the prayer of a staggering soul, the prayer that seems to reel to and fro because the one who prays is at his wit's end. You have known what it is to be near unto the gates of death, and you have found that a true prayer from such a place is a prevailing prayer. He was not slow to answer you then, and He is not slow to hear you now. Only those who have been healed can tell of His healing power, and you have already tasted it when He restored you and caused your hair to fill in before.

There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation. Not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but the very leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations. The least thing about Christ has healing virtue in it, to change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before. See in Him the great conduit Head from which abundant streams of healing flow down to those below. When He comes to dwell with His people, healing and pardon are placed in happy conjunction, and both are bestowed when they looked not for them.

We join our hearts with yours in prayer before the Lord.

O Lord our God, remember Your word unto Your servant. Have mercy and hear the cry of Your child who has walked with You through the most stressful and toughest years and who can say, I was brought low and You saved me. You have been her keeper when she thought she was dying, and she is alive to praise You this day. Now she brings before You the pain upon her scalp and the thinning of her hair, which grieves her heart. Lord, You know the causes, whether from medication or strain, and You know her desire not from vanity but for the comfort of her heart as You restore her health. We ask You in the name of Jesus Christ to touch her scalp, to ease all pain and tenderness, to grant wisdom to those who give medical counsel, and to show Yourself as her true Physician who gives all healing beyond what human wisdom can do. If it be Your gracious will, cause her hair to grow again, thicker and full, for Your own glory and for her joy. Above all, quicken her in Your way, restore unto her the joy of Your salvation, and let her see Your hand in this as in greater mercies. Let her prayer rise from this low place and find compassion in Your pitiful heart.

We leave this with You, trusting not in the power of our prayer but in the power of Him who hears. May He answer not always as we expect, but as His wisdom and love ordain, and may you be kept in perfect peace as you wait upon Him. Amen.
