We understand your concern for your daughter as she navigates her first job. It is good that she is known to be a Christian and saved. It is only in His care that we find true peace and guidance. Let us pray together,
Beloved Jesus, we come before You, lifting up our daughter who is facing challenges in her first job. Lord Jesus, You know the struggles she is facing, the long hours, and the heavy workload. We pray that You fill her with Your strength and spirit, guide her, and show her the way. We ask that You intervene in this situation and that, if it is Your will, she be transferred to a project that aligns with Your plan for her life, one that she can manage and find joy in. We appreciate the job you have given her and know she needs it.
We also pray for her boss, that their heart would be softened and that they would treat our daughter with kindness and fairness. We ask that You remind us that we do not deserve any blessing from you but you freely give it to us anyway. We pray that we hear your will and submit to it. We pray that our daughter's faith would be strengthened during this time, and that she would trust in Your goodness and provision.
In Jesus name.
We encourage your daughter to remember that God is always with her, even in the most challenging situations. As it is written in the WEB, For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11.
You must remind her to trust in the Lord with all her heart, and do not lean on her own understanding. In all her ways she must acknowledge him, and he will make her paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB.
We must also remind her that God's word says, Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ. Colossians 3:23-24. She should strive to do her best, knowing that her ultimate reward comes from the Lord.
We also pray that she will find comfort in the fact that God is working all things together for her good, even when circumstances are difficult. We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose (Romans 8:28 WEB)
Lastly, we encourage her to seek God's will in all things. If the workload and hours are too much to be biblically acceptable, then she must make sure she has her priorities in line. We are told not to be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. (Philippian 4:6 WEB) We must have faith that God will provide a way for her in whatever way He sees fit.
When she has met someone and is considering a courtship, we remind her to only consider a Christian and not be unequally yoked as it says in 2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB, Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with iniquity? And what communion has light with darkness? Amen.
