We have received your request and we are joining you in prayer for ### during this time.
We pray that God will grant ### true strength, courage and wisdom, not as the world gives, but as His Spirit gives. The wisdom of this world often seems wise in our own eyes yet it cannot lead us to God, and it trusts only in itself. We pray instead that ### will receive the wisdom from above, the wisdom God foreordained before the worlds, which leads to life and glory in Christ. That wisdom is learned not from persuasive words or human understanding, but from the working of the Holy Spirit through His Word.
We pray also for courage for ###. True courage is not audacity or an unbridled tongue, but the boldness to stand in truth before God as John the Baptist and Elijah did, speaking and living according to what is right in the sight of the Lord. We ask that God would give ### that holy courage to do what is faithful and obedient, even when it is difficult, and to speak and act with grace and truth.
We pray that the Lord will guide ### with His hand and show ### His will step by step. There are often many obstacles in the way, as there were for Abraham when the promise seemed against hope, with his own body and Sarah's womb as obstacles in the natural. Yet the high spirit of faith surmounts obstacles not by removing every hardship at once, but by trusting the One who is faithful to His promise. Where faith draws on grace, punishment is removed, righteousness is given, and there is no longer an obstacle to becoming heirs of the promise. We pray that any obstacle that stands against God's good purpose for ### would be overcome by His power, and that ### would be given endurance to walk through what remains with trust in Him.
We pray above all that ### will see what waits for ### in Christ. Through His death as the mediator of the new testament, those who are called may receive the promise of an eternal inheritance. That inheritance is of force because Christ died and rose again, and it is far greater than any present circumstance. We ask that ###'s eyes would be lifted to that hope, that ### would know salvation through Jesus Christ alone, and that ### would seek to walk in obedience to His design for life, including His good design for marriage as a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman and for purity within it.
May the Lord grant ### clarity to move forward according to His Word, peace as ### trusts Him, and a clear vision of the glory He has prepared for those who love Him. We continue to pray that ### will seek Him daily in Scripture and prayer and be led by His counsel.
