Guidance

We hear your heart’s cry for obedience and protection, and we stand with you in seeking God’s will together. The desire to walk in alignment with Christ is a beautiful thing, and we rejoice that you are turning to Him for guidance. Let us first affirm that true obedience begins with surrender—yielding every area of our lives to the Lordship of Jesus Christ. As it is written in John 14:15, *"If you love me, keep my commandments."* Obedience is not a burden but a response of love to the One who first loved us.

We notice your prayer closes with *"For Your glory, Amen,"* but we must gently remind you that prayer is only effective when lifted in the name of Jesus Christ. There is no other name by which we can approach the Father. Acts 4:12 declares, *"There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* Jesus Himself taught in John 14:13-14, *"Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it."* So let us always pray in Jesus’ name, for it is through Him alone that we have access to the Father.

Now, regarding the protection you seek for yourself and your *###*, we must address this with biblical clarity. If this is a reference to a relationship, we encourage you to examine whether it aligns with God’s design for marriage—a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:4-6). If this relationship is not rooted in Christ or is leading you into sin—whether through emotional or physical intimacy outside of marriage—we must rebuke that in the name of Jesus. Fornication and sexual immorality are clearly condemned in Scripture (1 Corinthians 6:18-20, Hebrews 13:4). If this is a same-sex relationship, we must lovingly but firmly declare that such unions are not in accordance with God’s Word (Romans 1:26-27, 1 Corinthians 6:9-10).

If you are unmarried and in a relationship that is not moving toward godly marriage, we urge you to seek the Lord’s wisdom and possibly step back until you are both committed to honoring Him in a biblical covenant. If you are already married, we pray for restoration, faithfulness, and holiness in your union. If this is not about a relationship but something else, we ask the Holy Spirit to reveal any area where we may need to adjust our focus to align with His will.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can be saved and through which we have access to You. Lord, we lift up this dear one who seeks to obey You. Strengthen them in their resolve to follow Your Word and Your Spirit. Protect their heart, mind, and body from the schemes of the enemy, who seeks to steal, kill, and destroy.

Father, we ask that You reveal any area of their life that is not aligned with Your will. If there is any relationship, habit, or thought pattern that is displeasing to You, expose it and grant them the courage to repent and turn away. We rebuke in Jesus’ name any spirit of disobedience, lust, or rebellion that may be at work. We declare that this one is covered by the blood of Jesus and that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).

Lord, if they are seeking a spouse, we pray that You would bring a godly man or woman into their life—someone who loves You above all else and is committed to honoring You in marriage. If they are already married, we pray for unity, purity, and a deepening of their covenant before You. If they are in a relationship that is not of You, grant them the strength to walk away and trust You for restoration.

Father, we ask that You fill them with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, and guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). May they walk in the light as You are in the light, and may their life bring glory to Your name. We thank You for Your faithfulness and for hearing our prayer. In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to immerse yourself in God’s Word daily, for it is a lamp to your feet and a light to your path (Psalm 119:105). Surround yourself with fellow believers who can hold you accountable and pray with you. Remember, obedience is not a one-time act but a daily surrender to Christ. If you have not already, we urge you to confess Jesus as Lord and Savior, for He is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6). If you have any unconfessed sin, bring it before the Lord in repentance, for He is faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).

May the Lord bless you and keep you; may He make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you; may He lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace (Numbers 6:24-26). Walk in the victory that is already yours in Christ Jesus!

Dear friend, we're here with you, seeking Jesus' guidance together. We're impressed by your desire to follow what He's shown you. Let's remember, obedience is a journey of love, not a burden. It's about yielding every part of our lives to Jesus, as He said, "If you love me, keep my commandments." (John 14:15)

We also want to gently remind you that prayer is powerful when it's lifted up in Jesus' name. As it's written, "There is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved." (Acts 4:12) So, let's always approach the Father through Jesus, for it's through Him that we have access.

Now, about the protection you're seeking for yourself and your loved ones. Let's look at this with love and biblical clarity. If this is about a relationship, let's ensure it aligns with God's design for marriage - a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:4-6). If it's not rooted in Christ or leading you towards holiness, we must turn away from it. Remember, fornication and sexual immorality are clearly condemned in Scripture (1 Corinthians 6:18-20, Hebrews 13:4).

Let's pray together:
