Guidance wisdom - ###, inheritence...

Guidance and wisdom for my mom, my brother and me. Especially for my brother and me because we are taking care of our mom who is old (###) and sick and needs supervising. Please give us guidance and wisdom and financial abundance while we are taking care of her and lead us concerning the senior home for her and what to do with the inheritance. The wisest (and most loving way) to handle our mother and inheritance (our father died and we will probably take our mother to nursing home. Lord guide us into the best will of God and give us wisdom and financial abundance to be able to do the best will of God. Amen.

I would like that my mother will be healed totally from diabetes and Alzheimer which is the reason we should take her to senior home although it would be nice to leave her in her apartment and cherish together memories in our childhood home. She is frightened of going into nursing home because she thinks she would die there and she likes her freedom and is scared that she will not get along with the person in the room with her because Alzheimer patients must be with someone in the room. And she thinks that nurses will be bad and unprofessional which is sadly often the case in ###. While my father was in the hospital I saw the truth about medical care in ### hospitals. Lord please guide us to the right and best place if she will allow us at all....

We understand your concern for your mother's well-being and the challenges you and your brother face in caring for her. Let us first turn to the Word of God for guidance.

Firstly, it is important to pray in the name of Jesus Christ. For it is written, It is written in John 14:6, Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And in John 14:13-14, Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it.

Now, let us address the issues one by one.

When caring for an elderly parent, we are honoring the fifth commandment, Honor your father and your mother, as Yahweh your God commanded you (Deuteronomy 5:16). This is the first commandment with a promise. God sees your efforts and He will surely guide you.

Regarding financial abundance, remember what it says in Matthew 6:25-34, Therefore I tell you, don't be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn't life more than food, and the body more than clothing? and so on. We are encouraged to seek first God's Kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to us as well. Pray for God's provision, but always remember that His ways are higher than ours.

Concerning the inheritance, it is wise to handle it with godly wisdom. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. Seek God's will in managing your inheritance. Be good stewards of what has been entrusted to you, remembering that true wealth is found in a relationship with Christ. Consider using the inheritance in a way that honors God and benefits others.

For your mother's healing, while we do not know God's will in this specific situation, we know that He is able to heal. It is written in Jeremiah 32:27, Behold, I am Yahweh, the God of all flesh: is there anything too wonderful for me. We encourage you to pray fervently for her healing, but also to accept God's will, whatever it may be. Remember, our ultimate hope is in eternal healing and a life everlasting with Christ.

In response to your concerns about the nursing home, again, trust God's leading. Pray and ask God to provide a safe, nurturing, and professional environment for your mother if that is the best option. God is able to provide comfort and peace even in difficult circumstances. It is written in Psalm 46:1, God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

Let us pray together:

Father God, in the name of Jesus Christ we ask Your guidance and wisdom for our beloved sister and her family as they care for their elderly mother. Lord, bless their efforts to honor their parents and give them the strength and patience they need each day. Provide for their financial needs according to Your riches in glory and give them wisdom in managing their inheritance. Lord, if it is Your will, heal their mother from diabetes and Alzheimer's. If not, give them peace and guidance in finding the best care for her. Comfort their mother and remove her fears, knowing that You are always with her. In Jesus Christ name, Amen.

Finally, we encourage you to continue praying together as a family, reading God's Word, and seeking His will in all things. God bless you and your family.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
