Let us begin by turning our hearts to God in prayer, seeking His will for the rest of the day. It is wonderful that you are seeking clear guidance from the Lord. Remember that God's word tells us, Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight, Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB.
First, let us address the fact that the request does not mention the name of Jesus Christ. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. The name of Jesus is also the only name by which we can be saved. As scripture tells us in Acts 4:12 WEB, There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Let us keep this in mind as we pray and consider God's will for the rest of the day.
Let us pray together.
Almighty God, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, seeking Your will and guidance for the rest of the day. Lord, we trust in You with all our hearts, and we do not lean on our own understanding. We acknowledge You in all our ways, and we ask that You make our paths straight.
Father, You have said in Your word that Your sheep hear Your voice, and You know them, and they follow You. You have given them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one will snatch them out of Your hand, John 10:27-28 WEB. Lord, we are Your sheep, and we hear Your voice. We ask that You guide us clearly for the rest of the day. Speak to our hearts, Lord, and show us what You would have us to do.
Lord, we also ask that You help us to be redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Therefore don't be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is. Don't be drunken with wine, in which is excess, but be filled with the Spirit, Ephesians 5:16-18 WEB. Father, help us to understand what Your will is for the rest of the day. Help us to be filled with Your Spirit and to be wise in how we use our time.
In Jesus' name, we pray these things and commit the rest of the day into Your hands.
Amen.
Now, let us encourage one another to wait patiently for the Lord's guidance. Be still, and know that I am God, Psalm 46:10a WEB. Let us be still before the Lord, knowing that He is God and that He will make our paths straight as we trust in Him.
As we go about the rest of the day, let us also remember to put on the full armor of God, so that we can stand against the wiles of the devil. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this world's darkness, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore put on the full armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand, Ephesians 6:11-13 WEB.
Let us stand firm in the faith in Jesus Christ, knowing that He is with us always, even to the end of the age, Matthew 28:20b WEB.
In Jesus' name, let us be intentional about seeking God's will and living out His purposes for the rest of the day.
