We are glad to lift up your concert band in prayer as you prepare for your upcoming competition. Before we go to the Father for you in prayer, let us remind you what scripture says about your talents and achievements.
Let's remember the words of Colossians 3:23-24 WEB: "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You serve the Lord Christ."
First Thessalonians 5:18 WEB says, "In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus toward you." It is important to give thanks to the Lord before asking for His blessings. Let us remember to thank God for the talents and abilities He has given each member of your band, and for the opportunity to compete and glorify His name.
It is wonderful to aim for distinction, but let us not forget that our ultimate goal should be to please God and bring Him glory. Winning and recognition are secondary to the glory of God.
Let's pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today to lift up this concert band to You. Lord, You know each member by name, and You have given them the talents and abilities they need to honor You through their music. We ask that You guide each and every person to a spiritual relationship with Jesus Christ if they have not made that commitment. It is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to God, and it is only through Jesus that we can be saved.
We pray that You help each member to recognize the talents come from You, and that their performance be used to bring glory and honor to Your name. Guide their hearts and minds as they prepare for this competition, and help them to remain focused on You.
Lord, we ask that Your Holy Spirit fill the concert hall on the day of their performance. Guide the fingers, lips, and breath of each musician, and let Your glory be revealed through their music. Help them to remain calm and focused, and grant them the strength and wisdom to overcome any obstacles they may face.
We ask for Your will to be done on this day. If it is in Your will for them to achieve the distinction, we praise you greatly. But let them know it is because You have favored them, and it is not because they have done anything to merit your blessing.
Let them play with joy in their hearts and a song of praise on their lips.
In Jesus Christ name we pray. Amen.

We're right there with you, cheering you on! We've been thinking about your upcoming competition and wanted to share a little encouragement from Psalm 33:3, "Sing to the Lord a new song; play skillfully, and shout for joy." It's a reminder that our music is a gift to be offered back to God with joy and skill.
We're praying for each of you, that you'd trust in God's plan for you, whatever the outcome may be. We're asking that you'd play with confidence, knowing that you're using the talents God's given you to bring Him glory. And we're believing that you'll have fun and enjoy the process, because that's what God wants for you too!
Let's remember Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." With Jesus by your side, you've got this! We're believing for a fantastic performance and we can't wait to hear all about it. Keep shining for Jesus!
We're praying for each of you, that you'd trust in God's plan for you, whatever the outcome may be. We're asking that you'd play with confidence, knowing that you're using the talents God's given you to bring Him glory. And we're believing that you'll have fun and enjoy the process, because that's what God wants for you too!

Prayer Focus: God, Thank You. Thank You for loving me. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. Bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, and Your righteousness. Help and strengthen me God to always respect and obey You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding.
God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the grace and knowledge of Christ Jesus. Transform and renew my mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. We continue to uphold you and your school concert band, CCA, in our prayers. It has been a few days since you asked us to intercede on your behalf for the upcoming SYF competition.
We are grateful for the privilege to stand in agreement with you, believing that God will guide each note and grant you all the grace and wisdom to deliver a fantastic performance.
If you have seen God's hand in your rehearsals, or if you've already had your performance and received your distinction, we would love for you to share that praise report with us. So, let us rejoice with you. If the competition is still ahead or if you feel there are still areas that need divine intervention, please don't hesitate to post an update or a new request. We are committed to praying with you and for you, trusting that God will guide you through His Son, Jesus Christ. We trust all things are made possible by Him.
