Guard Your Speech

LET YOUR SPEECH ALWAYS BE WITH GRACE,
SEASONED WITH SALT, THAT YOU MAY KNOW
HOW YOU OUGHT TO ANSWER EACH ONE.
COLOSSIANS 4:6

YOU HAVE CALLED US, LORD, TO WITNESS-
CALLED TO SPEAK THE TRUTH IN LOVE;
O HOW MUCH WE NEED YOUR GUIDANCE
AND YOUR WISDOM FROM ABOVE.
D. De Haun

We are accountable for what we say. The old adage, "Open mouth, insert foot", can often be true. Another, "Be sure your brain is in gear before putting your mouth in motion". Those are some of the world's adages.
Jesus told us,
"Let your yes be yes, and your no be no, for anything more than that comes of evil".
Paul further tells us our speech is important.
"But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear; having a good conscience, that when they defame you as evil doers, those who revile your good conduct in Christ may be ashamed." __1 Peter 4:15-16
And, as today's comment advises, let us seek the wisdom and guidance we need from the Lord above.

Lord, Guard my Speech Lord, Give me Patience and Guidance Lord.
Lord, I Thank you for Instilling this in Patti Lord, She is A True Blessing Lord, Comfort her and her Husband Lord, In Jesus Name Amen
