Guard My Heart

Just a few days ago I found myself encouraging others to guard their hearts and not let their heart be troubled. Well...today I found myself in need of my own encouragement. My thoughts are somewhat troubled and I find that I need encouragement today. I understand that we are in a spiritual war based on Ephesians 6:10 and that we must be aware of the strategies of Satan. He aims at keeping us disturbed or troubled in some way or another. He loves for us to entangle ourselves with the cares of the world. He desires that we do not enjoy our walk in God and that we will accuse God for our troubles.

Please pray for me today. My prayer is for my mind. I'm not crying out for material things. I want my mind clear.

Lord, we thank you that you for the blessings that you have given us. Help us to honor you in every part of our lives. We place this request at your throne. Please hear and reply according to your perfect will and timing. Grant us the peace to know that you are in control. In Jesus Name. Amen.

Dear Jesus, help us we cry out to you, the devil is seeking to destroy us, but your word tells us that the fight is not ours but yours, so Father let us rest in the truth of your Holy Word and in the shelter of your mighty wings, where there is healing, knowing that the battle is already won. Father, I lift up the prayer request to your throne, knowing that whatever the answer is, that you are doing what is best for us, give us peace for our troubled mind and hearts, we cast off the old man and are reborn through your blood that covers our sins and heals our hurts, we bend as the leaves bend in the wind, tossed and tormented but never forgotten because where there is sadness, there is strength also as we run to your loving arms, knowing you are always ready to lead us to the safety that only you can bring to our lives.
