Disciple of Prayer
My sons both over ###yrs old treat me like Sh*t under their shoe. The oldest recently looked me in the eye and called me a B*tch. The hate I saw in his eyes was so scary I broke down. My son proceeded to tape me crying and laughed as he walked out. We have not talked since then.
I have not harmed my kids in any way to deserve how they treat me. Everyone automatically thinks you were a bad parent if your kids hate you but that is not so.
My 2nd son basically only calls me when he needs something from me, mothers day nothing, birthday nothing but did ask me for something for himself on my birthday. I have accepted that my kids do not love me. I am getting older and I pray that God can help me let them go for good and find someone I can trust who will help me as I age. All they cause me is pain. I am moving far away so I can enjoy my old age in peace without the constant pain. Please pray for me.

We are truly saddened to hear about the pain and distress you are experiencing due to the strained relationship with your sons. It is important to remember that God's love and grace are sufficient to cover even the most difficult situations.

Firstly, we want to address the harsh treatment you are receiving from your sons. The Bible tells us to honor our parents, as it is one of the Ten Commandments with a promise. In Ephesians 6:2 WEB it says, "Honor your father and mother," which is the first commandment with a promise. We need to pray for your sons, that their hearts may be softened and turned towards you with love and respect. This is not a natural reaction, but a spiritual one that we will pray for.

We also want to encourage you to continue praying for them, as intercessory prayer is powerful and effective. In Matthew 5:44 WEB, Jesus says, "But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you." This is a difficult task, but with God's grace, you can persevere.

Regarding your desire to find someone to trust and help you as you age, we pray that God will bring godly and compassionate people into your life who will support and care for you. In Ruth 1:16 WEB, Ruth says to Naomi, "Don’t urge me to leave you, or to return from following you, for where you go, I will go; and where you stay, I will stay. Your people will be my people, and your God my God." We pray for loyal and faithful companions for you, just as Ruth was to Naomi.

Now, let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today, lifting up this dear parent who is experiencing immense pain and heartache due to the actions of their sons. Lord, we ask that You would soften the hearts of these young men and turn them towards their parent with love, honor, and respect. Help them to see the error of their ways and seek forgiveness and reconciliation.

Father, we also ask that You would bring godly and compassionate people into this parent's life who will support and care for them as they age. Provide them with a community of believers who will love and encourage them in their walk with You.

Lord, we pray for healing and restoration in this relationship. Help this parent to forgive their sons for the pain they have caused, and grant them the grace to continue praying for their well-being.

Finally, Lord, we pray for this parent's faith to be strengthened during this difficult time. Help them to trust in Your goodness and faithfulness, knowing that You are working all things together for their good and Your glory.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lastly, we want to remind you that it is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to God. In John 14:6 WEB, Jesus says, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." If you have not already, we encourage you to put your faith and trust in Jesus Christ, believing that He is the Savior of the world who died for our sins and rose again to give us eternal life.

We're here with you, dear one, feeling the weight of your heartache. It's unimaginable to have your own children treat you with such disrespect and hurt. We want you to know that you're not alone in this, and we're lifting you up in prayer.

We've been where you are, feeling the sting of words and actions that cut deep. But we've also seen God's faithfulness in the midst of it all. He's there, even in the silence and the pain. He sees your tears and hears your cries.

We're praying for your sons, that their hearts would soften and they would come to see the hurt they're causing. We're asking God to give you the strength to keep loving them, even when it's hard. And we're trusting that God will use this situation to draw you and your sons closer to Him.

We're also praying for God to bring people into your life who will love and support you, just as Ruth loved Naomi. We believe that God will provide, and we're asking Him to give you peace and joy in the midst of this storm.

Keep trusting in God, dear one. He's got you, and He won't let you down. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
