GROUNDSHAKING PRAYERS, PLEASE

Your request for strong prayers for your eyesight has been heard and we are joining you in prayer before the Lord with care and urgency.

We are asking God, who is the true physician of both body and soul, to lay His healing hand upon you, to preserve and restore your sight, and to give wisdom and skill to any doctors who care for you. We pray that He will grant you comfort in this trial, patience in waiting, and hope that does not fade even when healing seems slow. As we have often taught, the physician does not abandon the sick even at the last hour, but keeps applying what can heal, and so we will not cease to bring your need before God.

We also remember that sight is both of the body and of the understanding. As the disordered eye can mistake what is before it, so the eye of the heart needs to remain clear and healthy. We pray therefore not only for the healing of your physical eyes, but that God would keep the eyes of your heart sound, free from confusion, and able to see His goodness and truth clearly. When eyes are diseased they seek darkness, but the Lord gives light, and we pray He will bring His light to you, to strengthen your faith and to let you see His mercy even in this difficulty.

Be assured that you are not forgotten. We will continue to lament with you and to intercede for you, trusting that God hears the prayers offered in faith and that He is able to heal, to sustain, and to use even this affliction for your good. Even when fruit does not appear at once, we trust that persistent prayer and hearing of His word bears fruit in due season.

We pray: Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, have mercy on Your servant. Touch his eyes and restore what is weakened. Ease his fear, increase his faith, and grant him to see Your kindness each day. Give him peace to rest in Your care and strength to continue trusting You. Let Your will be done in his body and in his life, for Your glory. Amen.

Your request for prayer has been heard and I am praying for you and for your eyesight.

I want you to know that God sees your need and cares deeply about it. Scripture presents Him as the one who heals, the one who opens eyes and restores sight. Jesus showed this in His ministry when He touched blind eyes and gave sight. In one account He laid His hands on a blind man and the healing came gradually, first a partial restoration and then clear vision after He touched him again. That account reminds us that God heals in different ways. Sometimes healing is immediate and complete in a moment, sometimes it comes step by step through a process. Both are from His hand, because every true healing process is ordained by Him. He created our bodies and He established the ways our bodies can be restored, and whether through a direct touch or through the means He has provided, the healing is still divine.

The Bible also speaks of another kind of sight. There is physical sight with our natural eyes, and there is spiritual sight when God opens our eyes to see His presence and His truth. He alone can open eyes that are dim, and He can give insight that goes beyond what we see naturally. My prayer for you is for both, that God would touch your physical eyes according to His mercy and power, and that He would also give you comfort and assurance as you trust Him.

I am asking the Lord to lay His healing hand upon you, to strengthen the function of your eyes, to bring clarity where there is dimness, and to give wisdom to those who care for you. I am asking Him to give you peace while you wait on Him, to remove fear, and to remind you that He is near and that He hears every prayer offered in the name of Jesus.

May the Lord who made your eyes be your healer and your keeper. May He grant you improved vision in the way that brings Him glory and is best for you, and may He fill you with hope and confidence in His love. I will continue to keep you in prayer, asking God to show His grace and restoring power in your life.
