We join with you in lifting up your son before the throne of grace and we hear the deep love and longing in your heart for him to be greatly healed and whole and protected. We stand with you in faith for his life, his soul and his personality to be restored and for him to walk in the peace and purpose God has for him.
We want to gently encourage you in how we approach God's promises. We rejoice that you are claiming Deut 28:13 that you shall be the head and not the tail, and that you are pleading the blood of Jesus over your son and his bloodline. That verse was given as a blessing for obedience for Israel, and in Christ we are blessed with every spiritual blessing through our obedience of faith to Him, not by repeating a verse as a formula to loosen or force an answer, but by humbly trusting the Lord's sovereign will. We do not speak things into existence by our own power one hundred fold on demand, but we bring our requests to our loving Father who hears us and answers according to His perfect wisdom and love. As it is written, This is the boldness which we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us, 1 John 5:14. And we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose, Rom 8:28.
We love your faith to see your son healed from the exposure and pressure of the public and to see his energy and soul healed and his life kept private and secure in the Lord. The Word assures us that God is our refuge. He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty, Psalm 91:1. We pray for that covering over him. God cares about his whole being. Beloved, we pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers, 3 John 1:2. The Lord says, For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh, Jer 30:17, and Bless Yahweh, my soul, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases, Psalm 103:2-3. By his wounds you were healed, 1 Pet 2:24, for He was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities, the chastisement of our peace was on him, and with his stripes we are healed, Isa 53:5.
We also hear your heart cry that he would have no worries and live a life he loves permanently. We pray that the life he loves will be a life that loves and honors Jesus, for true joy and peace are found in Him. We lift up that anxiety be replaced with the peace of God, as we are told, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus, Phil 4:6-7.
We pray together now.
Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus and through His precious blood, thanking You that we have access to Your throne by Him alone. We lift up this dear parent's son to You. We ask for Your healing power to touch his soul, his mind, his personality and his body. Wash him and restore him, Lord, and make him whole in Christ. Cover his life with Your hand and keep him as the apple of Your eye, hidden in Your secret place away from harm and from the weight of public exposure. Let his life be guarded and private before You, walking in Your purpose. We ask that You make him the head and not the tail as he walks in obedience to You, that he would know his identity in Christ and walk in Your blessing and favor. We pray that You would grant him a life that greatly honors You and that he would find joy and contentment in Your will for him every second, moment, hour, day and year, continuously, according to Your mercy. Replace every worry with Your perfect peace that guards his heart. We plead the blood of Jesus over him and over his family line, and we ask that Your healing and salvation would flow through his life for Your glory. Let Your will be done in his life as it is in heaven, and help this parent to rest in trust, knowing You hear and answer in Your perfect time. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, amen.
We encourage you to continue to trust the Lord daily, to pray with thanksgiving and to rest in His faithful love, knowing He is working even when we cannot see. Keep bringing your son before the Lord, speaking His Word in faith and surrendering the outcome to His good hands.
