Disciple of Prayer
I would like to surrender my coffee date with ### on Saturday to Jesus. I would like that it will be a blessing whether we date long term or be friends. I pray that the Lord will guide us and lead us. Bless our bond together. The time and place will bring great memories. It’s the only positive thing I’m looking forward to after so many disappointing moments these couple months with jobs and my family. I pray spending time with him will be a divine intervention only God can put together. I’m just over hoping for anything positive right now. I really need it and the only one who can give it is Christ. He’s the only one I can depend on.

We hear your heart, dear one, and we lift this coffee date before the Lord with you, surrendering every moment into His hands. First, we must acknowledge the beautiful truth that you have already placed your hope in Christ, recognizing that He alone is your dependable source of joy, peace, and fulfillment. This is a strong foundation, and we rejoice that you are seeking His will above all else.

However, we must gently address the nature of this "coffee date" and the intentions surrounding it. Scripture is clear that our relationships—especially those that could lead to marriage—must be rooted in godly purpose and purity. The Bible instructs us in 2 Corinthians 6:14, "Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?" If this person is not a believer in Jesus Christ, we must prayerfully consider whether this is the Lord’s will for your life. Marriage is a sacred covenant designed to reflect Christ’s love for the Church (Ephesians 5:22-33), and it is vital that both individuals share a commitment to honoring God in their union.

If this person is a believer, we still encourage you to approach this time with wisdom and discernment. Courtship should always have the goal of marriage in mind, not merely companionship or fleeting happiness. Proverbs 4:23 reminds us, "Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it is the wellspring of life." Guard your heart, dear sister, and seek the Lord’s guidance in every step. If this relationship is not aligned with His will, we trust that He will make that clear to you in His perfect timing.

We also want to address the disappointment and weariness you’ve been carrying. It is understandable to long for something positive after seasons of hardship, but we must be cautious not to place our hope in people or circumstances. Psalm 62:5 says, "My soul, wait in silence for God alone, for my expectation is from Him." Only God can satisfy the deepest longings of your heart, and He is faithful to provide comfort and joy even in the midst of trials. We encourage you to seek Him first, trusting that He will direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6).

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble hearts, surrendering this coffee date and every hope attached to it into Your hands. Lord, we ask that You would guide and lead this time according to Your perfect will. If this relationship is not aligned with Your purposes, we pray that You would close the door gently but firmly. If it is Your will, we ask that You would bless this time, allowing it to be a divine appointment that honors You.

Father, we lift up this dear sister to You, asking that You would fill her with Your peace and joy, independent of her circumstances. Remind her that her hope is in You alone, and that You are working all things together for her good (Romans 8:28). Strengthen her faith, Lord, and help her to trust in Your timing and Your plans for her life.

We also pray for wisdom and discernment as she navigates this relationship. Give her clarity to see Your will and the courage to follow it, even if it means letting go of something she desires. Protect her heart from disappointment and help her to find her ultimate satisfaction in You.

Lord, we ask that You would bless this time together, whether it leads to friendship or something more. May Your presence be evident, and may Your name be glorified in every moment. We pray all of this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in prayer and in His Word. Spend time in the Psalms, allowing God’s promises to renew your hope and strengthen your faith. Remember that He is your Provider, your Comforter, and your ever-present Help in times of need. If this relationship is not of the Lord, trust that He has something far better in store for you. Keep your eyes fixed on Him, and He will direct your steps.

We're right there with you, sister, as you anticipate this coffee date. It's natural to feel excited about spending time with someone you care about, and we're glad to see you seeking the Lord's will in this. Let's approach this with a heart full of trust in Jesus, knowing that He has a perfect plan for your life.

We want to encourage you to keep your focus on Jesus, no matter what happens. Remember, He's the one who brought this person into your life, and He's the one who can make something beautiful out of it, if it's His will. As it says in Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths."

Let's pray together:

"Dear Jesus, we come to You with open hearts, surrendering this coffee date to You. Lord, we ask that You would guide and direct this time, according to Your perfect will. Help us to see this relationship through Your eyes, and give us the wisdom to know whether it's a path You want us to walk on. If it's not Your will, Lord, close the door gently but firmly. But if it is, bless this time, and let it be a divine appointment that honors You.

We also lift up our sister to You, Jesus. Fill her with Your peace and joy, no matter what happens. Remind her that her hope is in You alone, and that You're working all things together for her good. Strengthen her faith, Lord, and help her to trust in Your timing and Your plans for her life.

Give her wisdom and discernment, Jesus. Help her to see Your will clearly, and give her the courage to follow it, even if it means letting go of something she desires. Protect her heart from disappointment, and help her to find her ultimate satisfaction in You.

Lord, we ask that You would bless this time together, whether it leads to friendship or something more. May Your presence be evident, and may Your name be glorified in every moment. We pray all of this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen."

Keep seeking the Lord in prayer and in His Word, sister. Spend time in the Psalms, allowing God's promises to renew your hope and strengthen your faith. Trust that He's your Provider, your Comforter, and your ever-present Help in times of need. If this relationship isn't of the Lord, trust that He has something far better in store for you. Keep your eyes fixed on Him, and He will direct your steps.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We are so grateful you entrusted this special coffee date to us in prayer, surrendering it fully to Jesus and asking Him to guide both of you. What a beautiful act of faith—to lay this moment before the Lord and invite Him to work in ways only He can. We have been praying that this time together would be filled with His peace, wisdom, and purpose, whether it leads to friendship, something more, or simply a memory that points you both to Him.

We continue to stand with you, lifting up your heart as you’ve walked through disappointment with jobs and family these past months. It is our joy to pray that this time with him would indeed be the divine intervention you’ve hoped for—a moment where God’s presence is unmistakable, His timing perfect, and His blessings overflowing. You are not alone in this season, and we believe the Lord is near, working even when the wait feels heavy.

If this prayer has been answered in any way—whether through peace, clarity, or the sweetness of His presence—we would love to hear how He moved. And if the outcome isn’t what you hoped for, or if you’re still waiting to see His hand at work, we are here to keep praying with you. Simply post again, and we will gladly lift this request once more, trusting that our faithful God hears and answers according to His perfect will.

May He fill you with fresh hope as you seek Him, reminding you that Christ is your firm foundation, your steady anchor, and the One who holds your future. We pray all these things in Jesus’ precious name.
