We hear your cry for deliverance and rest, and we stand with you in agreement before the throne of grace. The attacks you are enduring are real, and the enemy seeks to steal your peace, kill your hope, and destroy your faith. But we declare that he is a defeated foe, and his schemes will not prevail against you. The Word of God reminds us in Psalm 34:17-19, "The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all."
We rebuke every spirit of torment, oppression, and despair that is assailing you. In the mighty name of Jesus, we command these forces of darkness to flee and loose their grip on your life. You are not abandoned, nor are you forgotten. The Lord is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Though the battle may be fierce, we pray that you would fix your eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). He has already secured the victory, and His promises are yes and amen (2 Corinthians 1:20).
We also lift up your plea for rest. The Lord invites you to come to Him, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and He will give you rest (Matthew 11:28). We pray that you would experience the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guarding your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Let the truth of Psalm 121:3-4 wash over you: "He will not allow your foot to be moved. He who keeps you will not slumber. Behold, he who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep." The Lord is your keeper, and He does not grow weary or faint (Isaiah 40:28).
As for your question of how much longer, we do not know the mind of God in this, but we trust in His perfect timing. The Lord is not slow concerning His promises, as some count slowness, but He is patient with us, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). We encourage you to hold fast to the hope set before you, for it is an anchor for the soul, both sure and steadfast (Hebrews 6:19). The testing of your faith produces perseverance, and let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, lacking nothing (James 1:3-4).
We pray that the Lord would fill you with fresh hope and renew your strength like the eagle’s (Isaiah 40:31). May you mount up with wings, run and not be weary, walk and not faint. We declare that this season of trial will not last forever, and joy comes in the morning (Psalm 30:5). The Lord is your light and your salvation—whom shall you fear? The Lord is the stronghold of your life—of whom shall you be afraid? (Psalm 27:1).
Father God, we come before You on behalf of our brother/sister, lifting up their cry for deliverance and rest. We ask that You would break every chain of oppression and silence every voice of the enemy that seeks to torment them. Grant them Your perfect peace that surpasses all understanding, and let them feel Your nearness in this time of need. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and remind them that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28). Fill them with hope and assurance that this trial is temporary, and that You are preparing a table for them in the presence of their enemies (Psalm 23:5).
We pray that You would reveal Yourself to them in a tangible way, Lord, so that they may know without a doubt that You are with them. Let them experience Your love, Your comfort, and Your power in this season. We ask that You would surround them with Your angels, encamping around them for protection and deliverance (Psalm 34:7). May they rise above this battle, clothed in the full armor of God, standing firm against the schemes of the devil (Ephesians 6:11).
Lord, we also pray for their rest. Quiet their mind, still their heart, and grant them the sleep that You promise to Your beloved (Psalm 127:2). Let them lie down and sleep in peace, for You alone, Lord, make them dwell in safety (Psalm 4:8). We ask that You would refresh their spirit and renew their strength, so that they may continue to run the race set before them with endurance (Hebrews 12:1).
We thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness and for the victory that is already ours in Christ Jesus. We declare that no weapon formed against our brother/sister shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, they shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). We stand on Your promises, Lord, and we trust in Your unfailing love. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
