We join with you in gratitude to our Heavenly Father for the gift of another day, recognizing that every breath we take is by His grace. We are thankful for the rest you experienced last night, and we stand with you in faith, believing that God hears your cries and sees your struggles.
We rebuke every attack of the enemy in your life, declaring that no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). The evil one seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We cover you in the precious blood of Jesus, which cleanses us from all sin (1 John 1:7), and we declare that you are more than a conqueror through Him who loved you (Romans 8:37).
Father, we ask that You grant our brother/sister peaceful rest, free from the torment of the enemy. Your Word tells us that You give Your beloved sleep (Psalm 127:2), and we claim that promise over their life. We pray that You would remove every obstacle that prevents them from resting as they should, and that You would heal their body, mind, and spirit. Lord, we ask that You lead them into Your perfect will, revealing to them the path they should take. Your Word says that if any of us lacks wisdom, we should ask of You, and You will give it liberally (James 1:5).
We also lift up their spiritual disciplines, asking that You strengthen them in prayer, Bible reading, and study. Your Word is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path (Psalm 119:105), and we pray that it would illuminate their way. Help them to hide Your Word in their heart, that they might not sin against You (Psalm 119:11).
Lord Jesus, we ask that You forgive our brother/sister for their sins, just as they have asked for Your forgiveness. Your Word tells us that if we confess our sins, You are faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). We thank You for Your mercy and grace, which are new every morning (Lamentations 3:22-23).
We pray that You would deliver them from this suffering, Lord. We know that You are close to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We ask that You would bind up their wounds and restore them to full health and vitality. Your Word says that by Your stripes, we are healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we claim that healing for our brother/sister today.
Lastly, we want to encourage you to continue seeking the Lord with all your heart. Draw near to Him, and He will draw near to you (James 4:8). Trust in Him with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight (Proverbs 3:5-6). Remember that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). He is with you always, even to the end of the age (Matthew 28:20).
Heavenly Father, we lift up our brother/sister to You, asking that You would meet them in their time of need. We pray that You would grant them peaceful rest, deliverance from evil, and a deep sense of Your presence. We ask that You would lead them into Your will and strengthen them in their spiritual disciplines. We pray for their healing and restoration, and we thank You for Your mercy and grace. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
