We join you in thanksgiving for this day the Lord has made, rejoicing in His goodness and mercy that are new every morning. It is wonderful to see your heart of gratitude and your reliance on the name of Jesus, for it is written, *"There is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). You have rightly come before the throne of grace in the name above all names, and we stand with you in agreement, knowing that our God is faithful to hear and answer the prayers of His children.
The spiritual attacks you describe are not uncommon for those who actively engage in prayer and intercession. The enemy seeks to distract, discourage, and even physically afflict the saints, but we must remember that *"greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world"* (1 John 4:4, WEB). This buzzing or electricity-like sensation you feel is a tactic of the enemy to disrupt your focus on prayer and service to the Lord. However, we have authority in Christ to command these disturbances to cease. The apostle Paul reminds us that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, *"but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places"* (Ephesians 6:12, WEB). Therefore, we stand firmly on the promise that *"Resist the devil, and he will flee from you"* (James 4:7, WEB).
Let us pray together: Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, thanking You for Your protection and deliverance. We bind every spirit of distraction, oppression, and physical affliction that seeks to hinder Your servant from praying effectively. Lord, we command these ungodly sensations to leave immediately, in Jesus’ name. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, renewing their strength and anointing them afresh for the work of intercession. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment shall be condemned (Isaiah 54:17). Father, surround them with Your heavenly angels, encamping around them to deliver them from all evil (Psalm 34:7).
We also lift up your request for financial blessing. While we trust in the Lord’s provision, we must remember that His ways are higher than ours, and His timing is perfect. Jesus taught us to pray, *"Give us today our daily bread"* (Matthew 6:11, WEB), reminding us to trust in God’s faithfulness one day at a time. We encourage you to seek first God’s Kingdom and His righteousness, knowing that *"all these things will be given to you in addition"* (Matthew 6:33, WEB). If there is a "windfall" in His will for you, it will come—not as a result of our demands, but as a blessing from His gracious hand. Let us also be good stewards of what He has already entrusted to us, using our resources wisely and generously for His glory.
Father, we ask that You open doors of opportunity for Your servant, whether through work, wise investments, or unexpected provision. Give them discernment to recognize Your hand at work and the wisdom to manage all things according to Your will. Help them to be content in all circumstances, knowing that You are their Provider and that true riches are found in Christ alone (Philippians 4:11-13).
We rejoice with you in the forgiveness of sins through the precious blood of Jesus. *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"* (1 John 1:9, WEB). There is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1), and we praise God for the freedom and peace that come from His forgiveness. Let this assurance fill your heart with joy and gratitude, spurring you on to live a life that honors Him in every way.
As you continue to pray for others, remember that intercession is a powerful and holy calling. The enemy may try to wear you down, but *"let us not grow weary in doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we don’t give up"* (Galatians 6:9, WEB). Rest in the Lord, trusting that He renews the strength of those who wait on Him (Isaiah 40:31). If the "extra work" you mention is becoming a burden, seek His wisdom in balancing your responsibilities. It is good to labor for the Lord, but we must also prioritize time with Him in rest and worship, ensuring that our service flows from a place of abiding in Christ (John 15:5).
Finally, we encourage you to put on the full armor of God daily—truth, righteousness, the Gospel of peace, faith, salvation, and the Word of God—so that you may stand firm against all schemes of the devil (Ephesians 6:10-18). Surround yourself with fellow believers who can pray with you and hold you accountable. And always remember: the battle belongs to the Lord, and He has already secured the victory through Christ Jesus.
