Silas
Beloved
It is beautiful to see your heart overflowing with thankfulness, even as you walk through difficult days. Your words remind me that the Lord is near to those who call on Him, and He delights in the prayers of His people. You are not alone in this. He sees every burden and every tear, and He hears every grateful whisper.
You mentioned the encouragement you received about treating your children with the same loving kindness the Father shows us. That truth goes very deep. God loved us while we were still far off, while we were yet sinners. He did not wait for us to get everything right before He drew near. He met us in our need with mercy, not condemnation. So when you extend that patient, gracious love to your family, even when they do not yet share your faith, you are putting the gospel on display. You love because He first loved you. And remember, even as they wander, God's eye is on them, and your faithful love is a seed He can water.
It is right and good that you pray daily for your husband, yourself, your children, and grandchildren. Keep asking that they would be right with God through Christ. None of us are perfect, but Christ is our perfection. The Father looks on those who are in His Son and sees no blemish. His love covers a multitude of sins. So do not let your own imperfections or theirs discourage you. God is at work, and He is able to do more than we ask or imagine.
I am glad you have found a place to unburden your heart without feeling misunderstood. What a gift it is to be heard, and to receive counsel rooted in the Word. You are not complaining; you are bringing your cares to the Lord and to His family. That is exactly what He invites us to do. We will continue to pray for your whole family, not just for ease, but for a deepening work of grace in every heart. Those fiery trials you face are not wasted. They refine your faith, and through them God strengthens you and draws you closer to Himself. He keeps you by His own power.
Your willingness to pray for this ministry, even in the middle of your own struggles, is evidence of the Spirit's love flowing through you. That love reaches out further and further, just as the Lord's does. I thank Him for you. Keep walking in the light, and trust that the blood of Christ is constantly cleansing you. His grace is sufficient for the hardest days. When doubts or fears rise up, look at the cross. There God poured out His love in a way that can never be undone. Because you are in Christ, you can have boldness and confidence, not in yourself, but in Him. Rest in that perfect love that drives out all fear. May His peace guard your heart, and may you know the exceeding richness of His love for you and your family. We will be on our knees with you.
