Grant me the faculty to lift my soul Lord

We join you in humbling ourselves before our Heavenly Father and we rejoice with you in your desire to lift your soul to Him, for this is the very heart of worship and dependence on God.

Your prayer echoes the psalmist who said, To you, Yahweh, I lift up my soul. Psalm 25:1 and also Let us lift up our heart with our hands to God in the heavens. Lamentations 3:41. To lift our soul is to turn our whole being, our mind, our will, and our affections, away from the things of this world and toward the Lord, trusting Him to be our strength and our song.

We are encouraged by your humility, for Scripture tells us Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he will exalt you. James 4:10 and When my heart is overwhelmed, lead me to the rock that is higher than I. Psalm 61:2. It is God Himself who grants us the faculty, the ability and the grace, to seek Him. We cannot lift our own souls by our own power, but as we draw near to God, He draws near to us. James 4:8 and He renews our strength as we wait upon Him. Isaiah 40:31 tells us those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles.

We pray together for you now.

Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, thanking You for this humble heart that seeks You. We ask You to grant the faculty to lift this soul to You. Pour out Your Holy Spirit and give the desire and the power to seek Your face daily through prayer and through Your Word. Lift this soul above weariness, discouragement, and distraction, and set it firmly upon Christ, the rock that is higher. Create a clean heart and renew a steadfast spirit within, that there may be joy and communion with You. Teach us to wait upon You, to be still and know that You are God, and to find our strength and our peace in Your presence. We ask that You would keep this dear one close to You, growing in faith and in love for You, and that You would be glorified in all things. In the almighty name of Jesus Christ we pray, Amen.

We encourage you to continue in this humble posture daily, feeding your soul with Scripture, in prayer, and in worship, trusting that God who hears this prayer is faithful to answer and to lift you up in His perfect time and way.

We hear the quiet humility in your prayer, and we are thankful you brought it to the Father so plainly. Wanting Him to lift your soul is itself a sign He is already at work in you.

We have found that this lifting is rarely a sudden feeling we can force. It is more like training than trying, a slow and steady work God does over a lifetime, with its highs and lows. Our part is to stay close to Him in simple, faithful ways, and His Spirit is the one who brings the growth.

If it would help, you might choose one small, sustainable rhythm for the coming days rather than trying to do everything at once. Perhaps a few unhurried minutes each morning to sit with a short passage of Scripture and to talk honestly with God as you already have here. Worship with other believers, even quietly, can also help turn our attention from ourselves to Him and remind us we are not walking alone. Each person's walk looks a little different, so notice what helps you stay attentive to Him.

Father, we bring our brother before You in Jesus' name. Thank You for his humble heart. Grant him grace to know Your nearness, to hear Your voice, and to be lifted by Your Spirit day by day. Give him peace as he waits on You and strength to keep seeking You. Amen.

Dear Heavenly father i humble my self before you please Grant me the faculty to lift my soul In Jesus Christ almighty name Amen

Father, You resist the proud but give grace to the humble -- there is nothing more humbling than confessing our weaknesses... Mine is balancing righteous anger and love, humility, yet not shrinking back from truth, Your Word is Truth and We overcome by 1) The Blood of The Lamb, 2) The word of our testimony, and, 3) Not loving our lives more than even dying for The Truth, which Your Word is truth, John 17:17, even as Truth is a Person -- Jesus Christ...Grant this one the grace to "stir herself up in the LORD her God, which David did, 1 Sam 30:6, at a time where they spoke of stoning him -- Your Holy Spirit granted him the courage and strength to gain back that which belonged to him and his rag-tag posse -- which You turned into "Might Men", not by might nor by power, Zech 4:6, but by Your Spirit... "Who by faith put foreign armies to flight, and from weaknesses were made strong,"Hebrews 11:34, since power is made perfect in weakness, that You may show Yourself strong, 2 Cor 12:9-10,"For Your eyes run to and fro searching for this kind of humility and child-like faith -- to show Yourself strong on our behalf," 2 Chronicles 16:9. Thank You for Your ways which are not ours, Isa 55:1-11, and your weakness and foolishness is greater than the wisdom in ALL its "apparent wisdom" 1 Cor 1:25... Thank You in Advance for faith pleases You, Heb 11:6, and You reward diligent seeking, James 5:16-17, in Jesus Name, John 14:13-14, Amen, 2 Cor 1:20.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your humble prayer is precious in the sight of the Lord, for He has said that a broken and a contrite heart He will not despise. To come before Him and say, Grant me the faculty to lift my soul, is itself an evidence that the Spirit of God is at work within you, for prayer is a sure sign of divine life within.

You do well to humble yourself before Him. It is an elevation to the soul to stoop to the dust before such a God. The more we become little in our own sight, the more sublime are our emotions before Him who is armed with omnipotence to save. Humble walking with God begins with a true perception of His Being and Presence, to know that He is your God, not another man's God, but yours in Christ, and to walk near to Him rather than wander at a distance.

This faculty for which you ask, to lift your soul, is not of your own strength, but must be sought of God. If any man lack wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives liberally. Seek you first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness. Your soul is more precious than your body, for your body will soon decay, but your soul will outlast the stars. Therefore let your first and chief seeking be after Him. He delights to be sought, and He delights to be found at the mercy seat and at the foot of the cross, where He reveals Himself in all His glory.

Do not seek to lift your soul by your own power, but by looking to Jesus Christ alone, who was born of the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead and buried, and rose again to save sinners such as we are. Lay your hand by faith upon the head of the Saviour and trust your soul to His atonement. To believe on Him whom God has sent, this is the work of God. Leave off self righteous seeking and simply trust in Jesus, and faith will come to you as you fix your eyes upon Him nailed to Calvary's tree.

May the Lord grant your request according to His mercy. I pray that the Holy Spirit will make humble walking with God to seem as important to you as it is to Him, that He will give you a larger capacity to receive more of God, and that He will turn any darkness upon your soul into the brightness of morning. May He lift your soul indeed, not to pride, but to holy communion with Himself, that you may say with David, My own God is He, and rejoice that the triune God is yours, Father, Redeemer and Comforter.

We join our prayer with yours, that God would show you the wisdom of seeking Him by Jesus Christ and of seeking Him now, and that you may find Him to be your strength and your song. In Jesus Christ almighty name, Amen.

Father, humbly ask for Your power to intervene. Please meet deepest spiritual, physical, emotional, financial needs according to Your Will and timing in Jesus Name Amen
"May the Lord bless you and protect you. May the Lord smile on you and be gracious to you. May the Lord show you his favor and give you his peace." Numbers 6:24-26

Your humble prayer to have your soul lifted is good and pleasing to God, for you have begun as you ought, with humility. Humility is the mother of virtues and the foundation of all good, and pride is the root of all wickedness. When we humble ourselves truly before God, His grace touches the very soul and plucks up sin by the root, making the soul purer than sunbeams.

God does not lift the soul because of our own strength or fine words, but because of His mercy in Jesus Christ. Continue then to draw near to Him with a lowly mind, not only in words but in your life, confessing your need and trusting in Christ alone for salvation. Hear the Scriptures often, for a word from the Scriptures softens the hardened soul and makes it fit for every good thing, and let prayer be constant.

I pray for you now that the Lord in His grace will grant you what you ask, that He will strengthen you to lift your soul to Him, to keep you in meekness and faith, and to form your heart more and more after Christ. May He keep you from pride, guard you in humility, and fill you with His Spirit, so that your soul may be awake to righteousness and walk in His ways. In Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.
