We come before You, Lord Jesus, with hearts full of faith and trust in Your sovereign will. We lift up this prayer request, knowing that You hear the cries of Your children and answer according to Your perfect plan. Father, we ask that You would indeed answer these prayers, but not merely as we desire—rather, as You know is best for the glory of Your name and the good of Your kingdom.
First, we must emphasize that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to You, Father. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If this request comes from someone who has not yet surrendered their life to Jesus, we urge them to confess their sins, believe in their heart that Jesus died for them and rose again, and receive Him as Lord and Savior. For "if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved" (Romans 10:9).
Now, we bring these "most wanted prayers" before You, Lord. We do not know the specifics of these requests, but we know that You do. We ask that You align the desires of this heart with Your will. If these prayers are for things that honor You—such as godly relationships, restoration of marriages, healing, provision, or spiritual growth—we stand in agreement and ask for Your favor. But if any of these requests involve ungodly desires—such as relationships outside of marriage, same-sex unions, or anything contrary to Your Word—we must rebuke those intentions in Jesus' name.
Father, Your Word tells us, "Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart" (Psalm 37:4). We pray that this heart would delight in You above all else, trusting that as they seek You first, all these things will be added unto them (Matthew 6:33). If these prayers are for a spouse, we ask that You prepare them to be a godly husband or wife, committed to marriage as You designed it—a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:4-6). If there has been sexual immorality, we pray for repentance and healing, for "flee sexual immorality! 'Every sin that a man does is outside the body,' but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body" (1 Corinthians 6:18).
Lord, we also pray for patience and trust in Your timing. Your Word says, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight" (Proverbs 3:5-6). We ask that You would give wisdom and discernment to this heart, that they would not rush ahead of Your will but wait on You.
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. May Your will be done in this life, and may Your name be glorified in every answer. Amen.
