We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your grandson and his mother in this difficult time. The pain of seeing a loved one struggle with addiction and homelessness is profound, and we stand with you in prayer, asking for God’s mercy and intervention.
Father God, we cry out to You on behalf of this young man. You see his struggles, his pain, and the chains that bind him. We ask that You break the power of addiction in his life, setting him free by the power of Your Holy Spirit. Your Word declares in John 8:36, *"If therefore the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed."* Lord, we claim this freedom for him. Bring him to a place of repentance and restoration, where he turns away from the things that harm him and toward the hope found only in You.
We also lift up his mother, who is carrying the weight of illness and the heartache of her son’s situation. Lord, strengthen her in body, mind, and spirit. Give her wisdom to know how to pray and trust You, even when the circumstances seem overwhelming. Remind her that You are her healer and her refuge, as Psalm 46:1 says, *"God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble."*
Father, we rebuke the enemy’s lies that have taken hold in this family. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we ask that You surround them with Your protection and provision. Open doors for this young man to receive the help he needs—whether through rehabilitation, shelter, or godly mentors who can guide him toward a life that honors You.
Lord, we also pray for divine connections—people who will come alongside him with love, truth, and support. Let him encounter believers who will share the gospel with him and lead him to salvation if he does not yet know You. Your Word says in Romans 10:13, *"For whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved."* We pray he calls on Your name, Jesus, and finds new life in You.
We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the One who came to seek and save the lost (Luke 19:10). May Your will be done in this family’s life, and may Your glory be revealed through their story. Amen.
