We lift up this precious grandmother to the Lord, knowing that He is the Great Physician and the giver of life. The Scriptures remind us in Psalm 71:9, *"Don’t reject me in my old age. Don’t forsake me when my strength fails,"* and in Psalm 145:14, *"Yahweh upholds all who fall, and raises up all those who are bowed down."* We trust in His sovereignty and mercy, even in this urgent hour.
It is vital to pray in the name of Jesus Christ, for He is the only way to the Father. As John 14:6 declares, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"* There is power in the name of Jesus, and it is through Him alone that we can approach God’s throne with boldness. If your friend or their family does not yet know the saving grace of Jesus, we pray this trial would draw them to Him, for salvation is found in no other name.
We also encourage you to remind your friend of the hope we have in Christ, even in suffering. Romans 8:28 assures us, *"We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."* Though this situation is dire, God is working—whether in healing or in calling this dear woman home to be with Him. His will is perfect, and we must trust Him.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this grandmother who is in such a critical condition. Lord, You are the God who heals, the God who sustains, and the God who holds each breath in Your hands. We ask for Your mercy to be poured out upon her. If it is Your will, restore her strength and bring healing to her body. Comfort her family, Lord, and surround them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Give the doctors wisdom and steady hands as they care for her.
If this dear woman does not yet know You, Father, we pray that even now, You would draw her to Yourself. Open her heart to receive Jesus as her Lord and Savior, that she may have eternal life. And for those in her family who are anxious or fearful, let this trial be a moment where they turn to You for hope and salvation.
We trust in Your goodness, Lord, even when we don’t understand Your ways. May Your will be done, and may Your name be glorified through this situation. Strengthen this family, unite them in faith, and let them feel the presence of Your Holy Spirit in a powerful way.
In the precious and holy name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
