We stand with you in this season of seeking the Lord’s nearness, lifting your heart before Him in unity and faith. Your cry for intimacy with God is beautiful and aligns with His desire to draw near to those who seek Him with a sincere heart. The Scriptures you’ve shared, Isaiah 58, Matthew 16:18, James 4:7, and others, remind us that fasting, prayer, and standing firm in the faith are powerful weapons against the schemes of the enemy. We echo your declaration that the gates of hell will not prevail against the Church, for Christ has already secured the victory.
Your request for wisdom, revelation, and the ability to hear God’s voice is deeply rooted in Scripture. Ephesians 1:17-19 says, "That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him, having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope of his calling, and what are the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints." We join you in asking the Holy Spirit to flood your heart with His truth, reminding you and your loved ones of the unshakable promises of God.
You mention feeling alone, and we want to remind you that even in solitude, you are never forsaken. Psalm 73:28 declares, "But it is good for me to come close to God. I have made the Lord Yahweh my refuge, that I may tell of all your works." The nearness of God is your good, and He is your ever-present help in times of need (Psalm 46:1). We pray that you would sense His presence in tangible ways, that His peace would guard your heart, and that His love would fill every void.
Your concern for your matrimonial spouse and youngster is a godly burden, and we stand with you in praying for their protection from temptation, sin, deception, and lies. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life abundantly (John 10:10). We rebuke every lie of the devil that seeks to divide your family or lead any of you astray. We pray that the Word of God would go forth in your home, that it would be a lamp to your feet and a light to your path (Psalm 119:105). May your family be kept from evil, as Jesus prayed in John 17:15, "I pray not that you would take them from the world, but that you would keep them from the evil one."
We also lift up the one you refer to as "her," praying that neither your faith nor hers will fail. Luke 22:31-32 reminds us that even in our weakest moments, Jesus intercedes for us, and we can strengthen others after we have been restored. We pray that the Holy Spirit would remind her of Jesus’ truth, as He promised in John 14:26, "But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things, and will remind you of all that I said to you."
We must address the importance of praying in the name of Jesus, for there is no other name by which we can approach the Father. Acts 4:12 says, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." It is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to God, and it is in His name that we pray with authority. We encourage you to always lift your prayers to the Father in the name of Jesus, for He is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6).
We rebuke every scheme of the enemy that seeks to isolate you, discourage you, or lead you into sin. James 4:7 declares, "Be subject therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." We stand with you in resisting the devil firmly in the faith, knowing that greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). We pray that you would be strengthened with power through His Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your heart through faith (Ephesians 3:16-17).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister who is seeking Your nearness and Your face. Lord, You are intimately acquainted with all their ways, and You know the desires of their heart. We ask that You would draw near to them, that they would experience Your presence in a profound way. Fill them with Your wisdom and revelation, that the eyes of their heart may be enlightened to know the hope of Your calling.
Father, we pray for their matrimonial spouse and youngster, that You would protect them from temptation, sin, deception, and lies. Let Your Word go forth in their home, and may it be a lamp to their feet and a light to their path. Keep them from evil and the evil one, and let them walk in the truth of Your Word.
Lord, we rebuke every scheme of the enemy that seeks to divide this family or lead them astray. We declare that the gates of hell will not prevail against them, for You have given us authority in the name of Jesus to trample on serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy (Luke 10:19). Strengthen them with power through Your Spirit in their inner being, that Christ may dwell in their hearts through faith.
Holy Spirit, remind them of Jesus’ truth and lead them into all truth. May they walk in love, resist the devil, and stand firm in the faith. We pray that they would know the dimensions of Christ’s love, which surpasses all knowledge, that they may be filled with all the fullness of God.
Thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer. We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus, our Savior and Redeemer. Amen.
We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in fasting and prayer, for Isaiah 58:6-12 reminds us that true fasting breaks the chains of injustice, sets the oppressed free, and satisfies the needs of the afflicted. May your fasting and prayer bring breakthrough, not only for yourself but for those around you. Stand firm in the faith, knowing that the Lord is your refuge and strength. You are not alone, for the Church stands with you, and the gates of hell will not prevail.
