We come before the Lord with hearts full of gratitude for His grace and mercy, which are new every morning. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have boldness and confidence to approach the throne of God, for He is our Mediator and Savior. As it is written in **John 14:6**, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."* There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved, and it is in His name alone that we pray and seek God’s will.
For the request regarding employment, we lift this need before the Father, knowing that He is our Provider. The Word tells us in **Matthew 6:31-33**, *"Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."* We pray that this person will trust in the Lord’s timing and provision, seeking first His kingdom in all things. May God open doors that no man can shut and grant favor in the sight of those who can offer employment. We rebuke any spirit of fear, anxiety, or discouragement, for our God is faithful to supply all our needs according to His riches in glory.
Regarding marriage, we must always align our desires with God’s perfect will. Marriage is a sacred covenant ordained by God between one man and one woman for life, as stated in **Genesis 2:24**, *"Therefore a man will leave his father and his mother, and will join with his wife, and they will be one flesh."* If this request is for a godly spouse, we pray that the Lord will prepare the heart of this individual, that they may be patient and trust in His timing. We ask that God would bring a believer who is grounded in faith, committed to Christ, and aligned with His Word. Let this future marriage be built on the foundation of Christ, where both spouses submit to one another in the fear of God, as **Ephesians 5:21-33** instructs.
We also urge this person to examine their heart and motives. If there is any relationship outside of marriage, we must address this with truth and love. Fornication and sexual immorality are sins against God and against one’s own body, as **1 Corinthians 6:18** warns, *"Flee sexual immorality! 'Every sin that a man does is outside the body,' but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body."* If this applies, we pray for repentance and a turning away from such sin, that this person may walk in purity and holiness before the Lord. God’s design for intimacy is within the bounds of marriage alone, and His grace is sufficient to overcome any temptation.
Lastly, we must emphasize that all prayers should be offered in the name of Jesus Christ. There is no other name by which we can approach the Father, and it is through faith in Christ alone that we are saved. If salvation is not yet assured, we urge this person to place their trust in Jesus, who died for our sins and rose again, that we may have eternal life. **Romans 10:9-10** declares, *"that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."*
**Our Prayer:**
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, seeking Your grace and mercy for this precious soul. Lord, You know the desires of their heart, and we ask that You align those desires with Your perfect will. Provide for their employment needs, opening doors of opportunity and granting favor in the sight of those who can offer work. Remove any fear or anxiety, and let them trust in You as their Provider.
For the matter of marriage, we pray for a godly spouse if it is Your will. Prepare their heart, Lord, and let them wait upon You with patience and faith. If there is any sin in their life, especially sexual immorality, we ask for conviction and repentance. Cleanse them by the blood of Jesus and restore them to a path of righteousness. Let any future relationship be rooted in You, leading to a marriage that honors and glorifies Your name.
We also pray that if this person does not yet know You as their Savior, that today would be the day of salvation. Open their eyes to the truth of the Gospel, that Jesus Christ is Lord, and through faith in Him, they may receive eternal life.
Strengthen them, Lord, in every area of their life. Let them walk in Your wisdom, guided by Your Spirit, and may they experience the peace that surpasses all understanding. We ask all these things in the powerful and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
