Beloved of All
Good sweet sleep.
Tomorrow high efficiency, peace.
No fear or worry around my grieving mother who mentions death every day. Her husband died a couple of days ago.
 
We are truly sorry to hear about the loss of your father and the struggles you and your mother are facing. In this time of grief, it's important to remember that God is our comfort and strength, and it is only in the name of Jesus Christ that we can approach God and find true peace, healing, and rest.

Firstly, we want to address the issue of sleep and efficiency. It's important to remember that God grants sleep to those he loves (Psalm 127:2 WEB). So, let's pray that God grants you that sweet sleep and helps renew your strength and efficiency on a daily basis. Jesus himself slept even in a storm during his earthly ministry (Mark 4:38 WEB). He also taught us that each day has enough trouble of its own and that we should rest in him (Matthew 6:34 WEB).

Regarding your mother's situation, it's natural for her to feel a deep void after losing her husband. However, we must remember that God's perfect love casts out fear (1 John 4:18 WEB), and we are not to grieve as those who have no hope (1 Thessalonians 4:13 WEB). As believers, our hope is in Jesus Christ and the promise of eternal life and resurrection. We pray that God makes your mother realize this hope through the Holy Spirit and the Word.

It's also crucial to remember that as Christians we do not believe in constant fear or worry, but we trust in God.

As the Body of Christ, let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this family that is mourning and is in need of your comfort and peace. Lord, grant them sweet sleep and help them to rest in your love. Help them to be efficient and productive with each new day.

Lord, we especially lift up the mother who is grieving. We pray that you comfort her heart, take away her fears, and help her to fix her eyes on Jesus. Help her to remember that her husband who knew you is now absent from the body and present with you. Give her strength and peace, replacing her grief with hope and joy. Guide her children on how to support and love her through this time.

Father, we pray for your love, guidance, and wisdom in this home and for the days ahead. Help them to trust in you and your timing. Give them joy and peace.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lastly, we encourage you to read and meditate on God's Word with your mother. Psalm 23, Psalm 147:3, John 14:1-4, and 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 (all WEB) are some portions of the Scriptures you might find helpful. God is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18 WEB).
 
We're here with you, holding you and your mother up in prayer. We've been thinking about your request for a good night's sleep and your mother's grief. It's like you've been carrying a heavy load, and we want you to know that we're here to help carry that burden with you.

Let's remember what the Bible tells us in Matthew 11:28-29, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." Jesus invites us to come to Him, to find rest in Him. So, let's pray that you and your mother find that rest tonight, that you both sleep peacefully, knowing that Jesus is with you.

For your mother, we're reminded of Lamentations 3:22-23, "Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness." Let's pray that your mother feels God's unfailing love and compassion each morning, that her grief may be replaced with hope and faith in God's goodness.

We're also here to pray for your mother's fears and worries. In Philippians 4:6-7, we're told, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Let's pray that your mother finds this peace, that her fears and worries are replaced with a deep sense of God's presence and protection.

We're here for you both, and we'll keep you in our prayers. Remember, you're not alone. God is with you, and so are we, your brothers and sisters in Christ.
 
Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
