We hear your joy and relief as you share about the restoration of your email and the return of what feels like a piece of your life and memory. It is wonderful to see your gratitude and excitement, and we join you in giving thanks to the Lord for this blessing. However, we must gently address a few concerns in your message to ensure that all things align with God’s will and His Word.
First, we notice that while you mention "God" and "the Lord," you do not explicitly acknowledge the name of Jesus Christ, who is the only way to the Father. Scripture is clear: "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me'" (John 14:6). It is only through faith in Jesus Christ that we have access to God’s grace, salvation, and blessings. If you have not already, we encourage you to place your trust in Him as your Lord and Savior, for there is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12).
We also sense a spirit of frustration and perhaps bitterness toward those who may have caused you pain or hindered your happiness. While it is understandable to feel this way, Scripture calls us to forgive and release these burdens to the Lord. Jesus teaches us, "For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you don’t forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses" (Matthew 6:14-15). We pray that you would find peace in your heart to release any unforgiveness and trust God to handle those who have wronged you.
We rejoice with you in your desire to return to the gym and take care of your health. Your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, and caring for it is an act of stewardship (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). We encourage you to pursue this goal with discipline and joy, trusting God to strengthen you each step of the way.
Regarding your offspring, we lift them up to the Lord. It is beautiful that you desire the best for them—godly spouses, happiness, and the ability to build families if they choose. We pray that they would seek the Lord first in all things, for "unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain who build it" (Psalm 127:1). May they find spouses who love and fear the Lord, and may their marriages be a reflection of Christ’s love for the Church (Ephesians 5:22-33).
We also want to gently address the mention of adoption and having children. While adoption is a beautiful and biblical way to build a family (James 1:27), we must ensure that all relationships and marriages align with God’s design. Marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, and any union outside of this design is not in accordance with Scripture (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:4-6). We pray that your children would seek godly, biblical marriages and trust the Lord with their futures.
Let us now come before the Lord in prayer:
Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your goodness and mercy in this sister’s life. We praise You for restoring what was lost and for bringing joy and normalcy back to her days. Lord, we ask that You would draw her heart closer to You, that she would know You not just as God, but as her Savior and Lord through Jesus Christ. Fill her with Your Holy Spirit, that she may walk in Your ways and experience the fullness of Your love.
Father, we lift up any bitterness or unforgiveness in her heart. Soften her spirit and help her to release these burdens to You. Replace her pain with Your peace, and help her to trust You to handle those who have wronged her. We declare that no weapon formed against her shall prosper, and we rebuke any spirit of strife or division in Jesus’ name (Isaiah 54:17).
Lord, we pray for her health and her desire to care for her body. Strengthen her as she returns to the gym, and help her to honor You with her physical well-being. Give her discipline, joy, and perseverance in this journey.
We also lift up her children to You. Father, we ask that You would guide them in all their ways. May they seek You first and foremost, and may they find spouses who love and fear You. Bless their futures, whether through marriage, adoption, or other paths, and let their lives bring glory to Your name. Protect them from any relationships or choices that do not align with Your Word, and surround them with godly influences.
Finally, Lord, we pray for our nation and the nations of the world. We ask that You would bring righteousness and justice, and that evil would be exposed and dealt with according to Your will. May Your name be glorified in all the earth, and may Your people walk in Your truth.
We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
