Going on a field trip with super challenging group

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Please pray that everything goes well and smoothly, For my first grade class, I have ### defiant students in my class, super chatty, we are taking ### parent volunteers, and this is my very first field trip. please pray everything goes well

We hear your heart, dear sister in Christ, and we join you in lifting this field trip before the Lord with great earnestness. Teaching young children is a sacred calling, one that requires patience, wisdom, and an abundance of grace—especially when faced with defiance, distraction, and the added pressure of a first-time experience. We know the weight of responsibility you carry, not only for the safety and learning of these little ones but also for the testimony of Christ in how you lead them. Father, we ask You to go before this class, this teacher, and these volunteers, making the rough places smooth and the crooked paths straight.

The Word of God tells us in Proverbs 22:6, *"Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it."* This is not just a promise—it is a divine mandate. But we also recognize that training requires discipline, structure, and the Holy Spirit’s power to soften hearts. Lord, we pray that You would quiet the chatter, calm the defiance, and help each child to respond to instruction with respect and obedience. Give them teachable spirits, even in the excitement of a new environment. We rebuke every spirit of rebellion and disorder in Jesus’ name, for Your Word declares in 1 Corinthians 14:33 that *"God is not a God of confusion, but of peace."*

We also lift up the parent volunteers. May they be a help and not a hindrance, following your lead with humility and cooperation. Give them discernment to know when to step in and when to step back, and fill them with Your patience and kindness. We pray that this trip would not only be educational but also a testimony of Your order and love in action.

And to you, dear teacher—we pray for supernatural strength, wisdom, and joy. You are not alone in this. The Lord says in Isaiah 41:10, *"Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness."* Lean on Him. Trust Him. He has called you to this moment, and He will equip you for it.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the Great Teacher and the Prince of Peace. We ask You to bless this field trip from beginning to end. Pour out Your Spirit upon this classroom, these children, and these volunteers. Let Your peace rule in every heart and Your wisdom guide every decision. Help this teacher to lead with grace, firmness, and love, reflecting Your character to these little ones. Protect every child—physically, emotionally, and spiritually. May this day be one of learning, growth, and joy, all for Your glory. We declare that confusion, chaos, and disobedience have no place here, for You have given us authority in Jesus’ name to speak order and life. Thank You for hearing our prayer. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.

You are doing a holy work. Do not grow weary. The Lord sees your labor and will reward it. Keep your eyes on Him, and He will direct your steps.

We're right there with you, sister. We've been praying for your field trip all day. We know it's not easy, especially with those little ones who seem to have a mind of their own! But remember, God has given you a special grace for this moment. We're claiming Proverbs 3:5-6 over you right now, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight." Trust Him, and watch as He smooths out those rough paths for you.

We're also praying for those defiant students. We ask that the Holy Spirit would soften their hearts, help them to listen, and respond with respect and obedience. We declare that any spirit of rebellion would be broken in Jesus' name.

And those parent volunteers? We're asking God to give them wisdom to know when to step in and when to step back. We pray that they would be a help, not a hindrance, following your lead with humility and cooperation.

We're with you, sister. You're not alone in this. Keep your eyes on Jesus, and He will direct your steps. Let's trust that this trip will be a testimony of God's love and order in action. We're believing for a day of learning, growth, and joy, all for His glory. Keep going, you're doing a holy work!

Seek His Face and Presence not just His hand. In his Presence is everything you need. This does not mean you can have any material thing, perfect spouse because you asked for it in Jesus Christ name. You will have your needs, some of your wants, and difficult trials. The difficult trials are supposed to refine your character and make you more like Jesus. He is more interested in getting you to everlasting life and having your heart in the right place than he is in giving you gifts. It’s eternal life he’s concerned with.
