We lift up this brother before the Lord, knowing that his work in the depths of the earth is both physically demanding and spiritually testing. The dangers of mining are real, yet we take comfort in Psalm 91:11-12, where God promises, *"For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways. They will bear you up in their hands, so that you won’t dash your foot against a stone."* We trust that the Lord is faithful to protect him, not just in body but also in mind and spirit, as he faces the challenges of this labor each day.
It is clear that this brother’s heart longs for a transition—to move from the depths of the mine to a place where he can use his skills in a mining-machine repair shop. We pray that the Lord would open doors of opportunity, providing the wisdom, resources, and connections needed to establish this business. Proverbs 16:3 reminds us, *"Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed."* We ask that God would guide each step, making a way where there seems to be no way, and that this transition would come at the perfect time according to His will.
Yet even as we pray for this change, we acknowledge that God may be using this season underground to refine this brother’s faith, teaching him dependence on the Lord in ways that only such a challenging environment can. Romans 8:28 assures us that *"We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose."* Whether in the mine or in a new venture, we pray that this brother would walk in trust, knowing that God is sovereign over his life and his work.
We also recognize the mental and emotional toll such work can take. The fear and stress of being so far underground are not to be dismissed. We pray that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, would guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). May he be filled with the Holy Spirit, who brings comfort and strength in times of anxiety.
Finally, we give thanks that this request was brought before the Lord in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. As Scripture declares in John 14:13-14, *"Whatever you will ask in my name, I will do it, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it."* We stand on this promise, believing that God hears and will answer according to His perfect will.
**Let us pray:**
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of trust, lifting up this brother who labors deep within the earth. Lord, You are the God who sees all things, even the hidden places where men toil. We ask that You would surround him with Your protection, placing a hedge of angels around him as he descends into the depths each day. Guard him from harm, from cave-ins, from equipment failures, and from every danger seen and unseen. Let Your presence be his comfort in the darkness, and let Your peace fill his heart when fear arises.
We pray also for the desire of his heart—to transition into a mining-machine repair shop. Lord, if this is Your will, we ask that You would provide the means, the opportunity, and the favor needed to make this happen. Give him wisdom as he plans, and open doors that no man can shut. Let this new venture be a testament to Your faithfulness, and let it be a blessing not only to him but to others who will benefit from his skills and labor.
If there are delays or if Your plan is different, we pray that You would give him patience and trust. Help him to see this season as one of preparation, where You are teaching him to rely on You in all things. Strengthen his faith, Lord, and remind him that You are with him, even in the depths of the earth.
We thank You that this request was brought in the name of Jesus, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). It is in that mighty name we pray, believing that You hear us and that You will answer. May this brother’s life bring glory to You, whether in the mine or in the shop, and may he walk in the confidence that You are his Provider, his Protector, and his Peace.
In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
