šŸ™ God's Will Then Our Common, Human Needs...

Nochaeld

Faithful Servant
šŸ™ Jesus said, "Pray in this way: ā€˜Our Father in Heaven, May Your Name be honored. Let Your Kingdom come. Let Your Will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive our debts, as we forgive our debtors. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the Kingdom, the Power, and the Glory, forever, Amen.’" Matt 6:9-13, in Jesus' Name.

We are deeply moved by the heart behind this prayer, as it reflects the very words our Lord Jesus taught us to pray—a model that aligns our will with the Father’s and acknowledges our complete dependence on Him. You have rightly begun by honoring God’s name, seeking His Kingdom first, and surrendering to His will above all else. This is the foundation of all true prayer, for as Jesus said, *"Seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well"* (Matthew 6:33, WEB). How beautiful it is to see a heart that prioritizes the eternal over the temporary, the spiritual over the material, and the divine will over our own desires.

Yet we must also gently remind you—and all who read this—that while this prayer is a perfect template, it is not a mere formula. Prayer is not about reciting words but about a living, breathing relationship with the Father through Jesus Christ, His Son. Jesus Himself said, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me"* (John 14:6, WEB). There is no access to God apart from Jesus, no forgiveness of sins, no hearing of our prayers, and no hope of salvation outside of Him. If we pray without acknowledging Jesus as our Lord and Savior, our words are empty, for *"no one who denies the Son has the Father. He who confesses the Son has the Father also"* (1 John 2:23, WEB).

So we rejoice that you have included *"in Jesus’ Name"* at the end, for it is only by His name that we are saved, and it is only in His name that we have the right to approach the throne of God. *"There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). Let us never take this for granted. Every prayer, every request, every cry of the heart must be rooted in the finished work of Christ on the cross, where He paid the price for our sins and reconciled us to the Father.

Now, let us pray together over this heart of surrender to God’s will and the daily needs we all share:

*"Our Heavenly Father, we come before You in the precious and mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You for the gift of prayer, for the privilege of calling You ā€˜Father,’ and for the example Jesus gave us in how to approach Your throne. Lord, Your will is perfect, Your Kingdom is eternal, and Your provision is sufficient. We ask that You align our hearts with Yours, that we may seek first Your Kingdom and Your righteousness in all things. Forgive us, Father, for the times we have prioritized our own desires over Your will, our needs over Your glory, or our plans over Your purposes. Cleanse us and renew a right spirit within us.

We lift up this heart that seeks to honor You in prayer. May it never be a hollow recitation but a living dialogue with You, rooted in faith in Jesus Christ. Provide for each need—spiritual and physical—as only You can. Give us this day our daily bread, not just the bread that perishes, but the Bread of Life, Jesus Himself, that we may be sustained in every way. Teach us to forgive as You have forgiven us, to resist temptation by the power of Your Spirit, and to walk in victory over the schemes of the evil one.

Father, we ask that You guard our hearts against the deception that prayer is about rituals or repetition. Remind us that prayer is about relationship—a child speaking to their loving Father, a sinner saved by grace communing with their Redeemer. May we never approach You in vain but always through the blood of Jesus, who is our only mediator and advocate.

We pray for those reading this who may not yet know Jesus as their Savior. Open their eyes to the truth that *"all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God"* (Romans 3:23, WEB), and that *"the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord"* (Romans 6:23, WEB). Draw them to repentance and faith in Jesus alone for salvation.

Finally, Father, may Your Kingdom come and Your will be done in our lives as it is in heaven. May we live as ambassadors of Christ, reflecting Your love, holiness, and truth to a broken world. We ask all this in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen."*

Beloved, as you continue to pray, remember that God is not a distant deity but a Father who longs to hear from His children. He knows your needs before you ask (Matthew 6:8), yet He delights in your dependence on Him. Keep seeking Him, keep trusting Him, and keep surrendering to His will. *"Delight yourself in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart"* (Psalm 37:4, WEB). May your prayers always be saturated with the Spirit, aligned with Scripture, and offered in the name of Jesus, for *"whatever we ask, we receive from him, because we keep his commandments and do the things that are pleasing in his sight"* (1 John 3:22, WEB). Walk in obedience, and watch how faithfully He provides.

We're right there with you, dear friend, echoing your heartfelt prayer. It's beautiful to see the Lord's Prayer, taught by Jesus Himself, used as a model for our own petitions. It's a perfect reminder that our will should align with God's, and that we depend on Him for everything.

We're also reminded of Jesus' words, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6). Let's ensure our prayers are always rooted in Jesus, our Lord and Savior. Only through Him can we approach God's throne, and only in His name can we be saved.

Let's continue to pray together, seeking God's will above all else, and trusting Him for our daily needs. "Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven... Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen." (Matthew 6:9-13)

Let's keep surrendering our wills to God's, and trusting Him to provide for all our needs. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Praying for others on here and reading your Bible will help you tremendously.

I wanted to commit suicide once, I even came up with a plan. Right before I headed out the door I posted a prayer on here and hoping there might be help from God one last time I opened the Bible and only read take no thought for your life. I read that before at least 100 times but never really could understand how. This time I took it to heart, all right God I will end my life by not thinking about it. I take no thought, I take no thought, I take no thought over and over and over again I take no thought was my only thought that day. All of a sudden I noticed something, Jesus showed up, all my pains were gone, no neck ache, no back pain, no leg pain from many many accidents I had over the years and no pain in my heart as my wife had left me. I started singing praises and thanks to Jesus and my life has never been the same. It is our obedience to God from His Holy Instructions that makes a difference to His Power of His Promises in our lives.

Be a doer of Jesus friend, it really makes a difference! Thank You Lord Jesus!

Search the Bible for Jesus' Promises friend, do them and claim them in Jesus! Amen! Thank You Lord Jesus!

I will trust You Father God to take thought for me and take care of me (Mathew 6:25-34). I will not be wise in my own eyes, I will fear You Lord and depart from evil and my flesh will be healed and my body will be refreshed (Proverbs 3:7-8) daily. Thank You Jesus for Your Promises! Lord make me the Child of God You need me to be in Christ for all those around me and for the world to see (Psalms 128:3).
