šŸ™ God's Will & Our Basic, Human Needs, (Provision, Forgiveness, Relationships, Protection) Matt 6:9-13

Good and Faithful Servant
šŸ™ Jesus said, "Pray in this way: ā€˜Our Father in Heaven, May Your Name be honored. Let Your Kingdom come. Let Your Will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive our debts, as we forgive our debtors. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the Kingdom, the Power, and the Glory, forever, Amen.’" Matt 6:9-13, in Jesus' Name.

We come before the Lord with hearts open to His will, reflecting on the prayer Jesus taught us—the Lord’s Prayer—as our model for seeking God’s kingdom above all else. This prayer is not merely a recitation but a blueprint for aligning our deepest needs with God’s perfect plan. Let us examine each petition in light of Scripture and our daily lives.

First, we acknowledge our Father in heaven, hallowed be His name. Our greatest need is not merely provision, forgiveness, or protection, but to know and honor God Himself. As it is written, "But seek first God’s Kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you" (Matthew 6:33). When we prioritize His name and His kingdom, our earthly needs find their proper place.

Jesus teaches us to pray for daily bread—our provision. This is not a demand for excess but a humble request for what we need to sustain us each day. The Israelites in the wilderness learned this lesson when God provided manna daily, teaching them to trust Him one day at a time (Exodus 16:19-21). We must resist the temptation to worry about tomorrow, for our Heavenly Father knows what we need before we ask (Matthew 6:8). Let us trust Him to provide, whether through work, generosity, or miraculous intervention.

Forgiveness is another foundational need, both receiving it and extending it. Jesus makes it clear: "For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you don’t forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses" (Matthew 6:14-15). Unforgiveness is a heavy burden that poisons the soul and hinders our relationship with God. We must release bitterness, remembering how much we have been forgiven in Christ. If there is anyone you have not forgiven, we urge you to lay that down at the foot of the cross, where Jesus bore the weight of all sin.

In relationships, we must hold fast to God’s design. Marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, established by God for companionship, procreation, and mutual sanctification (Genesis 2:24, Ephesians 5:22-33). Any relationship outside of this framework—whether premarital, extramarital, or same-sex—falls short of God’s standard and brings harm to those involved. If you are in a relationship that does not honor God, we plead with you to repent and seek His will. The world may call this judgmental, but God calls it love, for He desires what is best for His children. If you are single, we encourage you to pursue godly courtship with the intent of marriage, guarding your heart and body for your future spouse.

Protection from temptation and evil is another critical need. The enemy prowls like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8). We must be vigilant, putting on the full armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18) and fleeing from sin (1 Corinthians 6:18, 2 Timothy 2:22). Jesus’ prayer reminds us that we cannot face temptation alone—we need divine deliverance. When we are weak, He is strong (2 Corinthians 12:9-10).

Finally, we close with praise, acknowledging that the kingdom, the power, and the glory belong to God forever. This is not just a formula but a posture of the heart. Everything we have—our breath, our salvation, our hope—comes from Him.

Let us now pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You for teaching us how to pray and for inviting us into Your presence. Your name is holy, and we long to see Your kingdom come and Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Lord, we ask for our daily bread—provide for our needs according to Your riches in glory. Help us to trust You and not to worry, for You are our Provider. Forgive us our debts, as we forgive those who have sinned against us. Search our hearts, Father, and reveal any bitterness or unforgiveness we are harboring. Give us the strength to release it and walk in the freedom of Your grace.

Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. Protect us from the schemes of the enemy and strengthen us to stand firm in Your truth. Guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, and help us to flee from sin.

Father, we lift up our relationships to You. For those who are married, we pray for unity, love, and mutual submission to You. For those who are single, we ask that You prepare them for godly marriages if that is Your will. Convict us where we have strayed from Your design, and give us the courage to repent and walk in purity.

Above all, we surrender our will to Yours. May Your kingdom come, Your power be displayed, and Your glory shine through our lives. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). We love You, Lord, and we trust You with every detail of our lives. Amen.

We join our hearts together, lifting up our deepest needs to our Heavenly Father. Like a child running to a loving parent, we come before Him, trusting in His unfailing love and care. We're reminded of the words of Jeremiah 33:3, "Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know." Let's call out to Him, expecting a response.

We've seen the petition for daily bread, but let's not forget the next part, "Forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors." Forgiveness is a key that unlocks freedom and healing. It's not always easy, but Jesus promises that when we forgive, we'll be forgiven. If there's someone you're struggling to forgive, let's take a moment to lay that burden down at the foot of the cross. Jesus bore the weight of all sin, including the sin of those who have hurt us. Let's trust Him to heal our wounds and restore our relationships.

In relationships, let's remember that God's design is for our good and His glory. Whether single or married, let's strive for purity and godliness. If you're in a relationship that's not honoring to God, let's have the courage to step back and seek His will. He promises to bless those who honor Him.

Lastly, let's ask for protection from temptation and evil. The world can be a dark place, but we serve a God who is greater than any darkness. Let's put on the full armor of God, as Ephesians 6 tells us, and stand firm in our faith.

Let's pray together now, "Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You for Your unfailing love and care. We ask for our daily bread, trusting in Your provision. Help us to forgive as we've been forgiven. Protect us from temptation and evil. Guide our relationships according to Your design. Above all, help us to surrender our will to Yours. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We are deeply grateful that you entrusted us with the privilege of standing in prayer with you as you sought God’s will and provision in your life. It is a sacred honor to join with you in lifting up these fundamental needs—daily bread, forgiveness, relationships, and protection—just as Jesus taught us to pray.

If the Lord has answered your prayers in any of these areas, we would love to hear your praise report so we can rejoice with you in His faithfulness. If, however, you are still waiting on His perfect timing, we encourage you to post this request again so we may continue to intercede on your behalf. God’s ways are higher than ours, and His answers are always for our good, even when they come in ways we do not expect.

May He strengthen your heart as you seek Him, trusting in His promises and resting in His love. We pray that you would experience His peace, provision, and presence in every area of your life, knowing that He hears and cares for you. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
