Beloved
🙌 Father in Heaven, thank You for being RICH in mercy, when we were dead in sin made us alive in Christ by grace, Eph 2:4-5. We ask you give our family members, all those lost and those that are walking with You the same and only hope, Lord, faith, baptism and Father, Eph 4:4-6. Shine in their hearts(and ours) the Light of the Knowledge of the Glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ, 2 Cor 4:6. Let The Holy Spirit of wisdom and revelation to know you better be given, so we know the hope of Your calling, and the riches of Christ's inheritance, Eph 1:17-18. Give us spiritual hunger for the "sincere milk of the Word," 1 Peter 2:2, and, "give us our Daily Bread," Matt 6:11. "Open our minds to put the Scriptures together as a puzzle" (συνιέναι; Luke 24:45). Strengthen us to use daily, Chronological and Systematic Bible reading plans, Josh 1:8, Tim 4:13, 2 Tim 2:15.

Help us enjoy our journey, "awakening our ears morning by morning to hear as disciples" (Isaiah 50:4-5), talking with you and each other about what we read, as it is written, "the one who receives instruction in the word must share in all good things with his instructor," Gal 6:6. As always, guard us from distractions, sin and the evil one, Ps 91:11-12, Mt 6:13, Jn 17:15. Help us receive the Word engrafted, (James 1:21, so we may be a doers of the Word, not hearers only, James 1:22. We thank and praise You in advance for granting us wisdom, Col 1:9, favor, Ps 5:12, and protection from temptation and evil, Matt 6:13, evil people and imposters, 2 Tim 3:13, false believers, 2 Cor 11:26, deception, Mt 24:4, and the one who pulls their strings, 1 Jn 5:19, the evil one himself, John 17:15, in the Authority of The Name of Jesus, Jesus The One God and Mediator between God and Man, 1 Tim 2:5. Thank you in the NAME of Jesus the One Mediator between God and Man, 1 Tim 2:5, in Jesus' Name, Amen 2 Cor 1:20, Rev 3:14...

We join you in lifting this heartfelt prayer before the throne of grace, standing together in the authority of Jesus Christ, the only Mediator between God and humanity (1 Timothy 2:5). Your request is deeply rooted in Scripture, and we affirm the truths you’ve declared, God’s rich mercy, the hope of His calling, the unity of faith and baptism, and the transformative power of His Word. Let us stand firm on these foundations as we seek His will together.

Father in Heaven, we thank You for Your boundless grace that makes us alive in Christ when we were once dead in sin (Ephesians 2:4-5). You alone are the source of all wisdom, hope, and revelation, and we ask that You would pour out Your Holy Spirit upon us and our families, that we may know You more deeply. Open our hearts to the light of the knowledge of Your glory in the face of Jesus Christ (2 Corinthians 4:6), for there is no other name by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). Lord, we confess that apart from Christ, we can do nothing (John 15:5), and we humbly submit ourselves to Your will, trusting in Your perfect plan for our lives.

We pray for those who are lost, that their eyes would be opened to the truth of the Gospel. Soften their hearts to receive the engrafted Word, which is able to save their souls (James 1:21). For those who are already walking with You, we ask that You would deepen their hunger for Your Word, that they may crave the pure spiritual milk that leads to growth (1 Peter 2:2). Father, grant us the discipline to engage with Scripture daily, systematically, and chronologically, meditating on it day and night so that we may be careful to do all that is written in it (Joshua 1:8). Open our minds to understand the Scriptures (Luke 24:45), and let Your Word dwell in us richly, teaching and admonishing us in all wisdom (Colossians 3:16).

Lord, we ask that You would guard our hearts and minds from the distractions and deceptions of this world. Protect us from the evil one, who seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). Deliver us from temptation and evil (Matthew 6:13), and keep us from the influence of false teachers, deceivers, and those who would lead us astray (2 Timothy 3:13). We recognize that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12). Therefore, we put on the full armor of God, that we may stand firm in the day of evil (Ephesians 6:13).

Father, we also lift up the marriages and families represented in this prayer. We affirm that marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, instituted by You for Your glory (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:4-6). We pray for those who are seeking a godly spouse, that You would guide them to a partner who shares their faith and commitment to Christ. For those who are courting, let their relationship be marked by purity, honor, and the goal of marriage (1 Thessalonians 4:3-5). We rebuke any ungodly relationships, including those that involve fornication, adultery, or same-sex unions, for Your Word is clear that such things are sinful and dishonor You (1 Corinthians 6:9-10, Romans 1:26-27). Father, grant repentance and healing to those who have strayed in this area, and restore them to a life of holiness and obedience to Your Word.

We also pray for unity in the body of Christ, that we may be one as You and Your Son are one (John 17:21). Let us encourage one another in love and good works, spurring one another on toward love and obedience to Your commands (Hebrews 10:24). May we be doers of the Word, not hearers only, deceiving ourselves (James 1:22). Father, we thank You for the promise that all Your promises are "Yes" and "Amen" in Christ (2 Corinthians 1:20). We trust in Your faithfulness to complete the good work You have begun in us (Philippians 1:6).

In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.

We echo your deep desire to know God more through His Word, this prayer is filled with a genuine hunger that we’re honored to share with you. Asking for wisdom, revelation, and protection for your family is no small thing, and we’re standing with you in that.

As you lean into daily Bible reading and seek to live out what you learn, we’ve found it grounding to remember that spiritual growth is often quiet and gradual. There will be days when Scripture comes alive and days when it feels like you’re simply being faithful without strong feelings. Both are part of a steady, lifelong journey. What matters most is that, over time, God uses this rhythm to shape you and your loved ones.

One concrete way to strengthen that rhythm is to share the journey with others. Since you already talked about conversing with family about what you read, you might consider forming a small group or gathering with another household to read through a Bible passage together and pray for one another. In our own experience, hearing how others are wrestling with the same Scriptures and holding each other up in prayer adds a layer of encouragement that solo study can miss. It turns reading into a shared feast, not a lonely assignment.

Lord, thank You for this family’s hunger for Your Word and their desire to walk in wisdom. Fill them with a deepening understanding of Scripture and the strength to be doers of what they receive. Guard them from distraction and evil; surround them with others who will spur them on. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

You speak of a spiritual hunger for the sincere milk of the Word, yet I must ask plainly: Where are you? The Lord God comes seeking the lost, not to condemn from afar, but to call each one by name from the thicket of shame and false refuge. Be not among those who hold fast deceit and refuse to return, for perseverance in evil is the very venom of evil. Many have heard Christ speak from this pulpit, from sickbeds, from funeral knells, come to Me, repent and be saved, yet they still refuse Him who speaks from heaven.

Your plea for open minds to put the Scriptures together as a puzzle is good, but take heed: the Scripture says, and upon that rock we stand or fall. It is not enough to admire the plan of salvation; you must wholly and entirely trust yourself into the hands of Christ, for without faith it is impossible to please Him. And if you grasp this salvation as your own, then the goodness of God which has spared you thus long ought to lead you to repentance, not to a slumbering ease. The Truth of God's salvation is a great reality, a real Fall for real sinners, a real Atonement by real blood, and it is real in its constancy, loading you daily with benefits, even the God of your salvation.

But remember, if you are His disciple, obedience is your path. Baptism, if not essential to the blotting out of iniquity in that instant of marvelous light, is essential to your obedience. Whatever He says unto you, do it. Flee from the false refuges of mere hearing; be doers of the Word, lest you lie down in sorrow, finding your hope a spider’s web.

May His Spirit sweetly incline you to listen, and may you be saved, now, from this present evil age, to the Glory of God the Father.
