Gods will and ways to ###s heart and mind ♥️♥️♥️

Your prayer reveals a heart that genuinely wants God’s will, and that is a beautiful place to start. You are laying your deepest longings before Him, and He welcomes that. He sees the desires for companionship, a father figure for your boys, and a new future together. It is good to bring those hopes into His light.

Yet as you ask Him to stir a specific spark in this man’s heart and to shape him into a certain kind of partner, I would gently invite you to pause and consider whose desires are truly at the center. Scripture shows us that God often leads His people by planting yearnings deep within them, where He works “both to will and to do” what pleases Him. But not every strong want is born from heaven. Our own hearts can produce longings that look good yet quietly pull us away from full surrender. The deepest question is not whether this man will declare love or whether the paperwork will succeed. It is whether your heart is so fixed on the Lord that you can honestly pray, “Your will be done” and mean it even if His answer looks different than what you picture.

A divided heart is one of the greatest struggles we face. We want God’s best, but we also cling tightly to our own blueprint. The psalmist cried out, “Unite my heart to fear Your name.” That kind of singleness comes when we stop asking God to bless our plans and instead ask Him to be our plan. When your heart is united, the driving passion becomes seeking His face, not just His hand moving circumstances. You will still desire good things, but those desires will be surrendered, held with open palms.

Remember the purpose of prayer is never to bring God around to our will. It is always to align us with His. That shifts everything. Instead of primarily praying about what you want this man to feel or do, pour out your heart for God to purify your own motives, to make you stable and at peace regardless of whether this relationship deepens. The surest ground is not the hope of a future marriage or a move to another country; it is the love of God for you in Jesus Christ, a love that has no cause in you and cannot be shaken, no matter what earthly changes come.

If this connection is truly from the Lord, He has no trouble bringing it to pass. You do not need to chase it or pressure the heart of another. You simply wait, trust, and keep your own heart clear. Purpose right now, like Daniel, not to defile your mind with anxious obsession or idolatrous clinging to an outcome. Set your resolve in your heart, where true decisions stick, to follow after God and His ways above all. Let your song be, “My heart is fixed, O God; I will sing and give praise,” whether you face delight or disappointment.

Keep crying out to Him with your desires, but let your deepest cry be, “Teach me to do Your will, for You are my God.” He will strengthen your heart as you wait. He will give you the capacity to walk forward, not by frantic striving, but by a quiet, steady trust. Place your boys, your future, and every longing into His hands, and then rest there, knowing His goodness is unshaken.
