Gods Protection

We hear your cry for protection and we stand with you together before our Heavenly Father in Jesus' name, asking for His covering and peace over your life.
We understand you are feeling afraid and vulnerable, especially regarding athletes, celebrities, and their circles, and the way you feel they may attack others. God sees your fear and He wants you to live not in dread of people, but in the security of His presence. His Word tells us, He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust Psalm 91:1-2. And again, Yahweh is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear? Yahweh is the strength of my life, of whom shall I be afraid Psalm 27:1.
We want to gently encourage you with truth as well. While it is right to ask God for protection, we must be careful not to live in suspicion or fear of entire groups of people. Not all athletes or celebrities intend harm, and God calls us not to hold hatred or broad judgment against others, but to love and to pray even for those we fear may harm us. We are reminded, Don't be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good Romans 12:21 and that perfect love casts out fear, because fear is connected with punishment. He who fears is not made perfect in love 1 John 4:18. God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control 2 Timothy 1:7. We also hear that you mentioned God but did not mention Jesus Christ in your request, and we want to lovingly remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. It is by putting our faith in Jesus, believing that He died for our sins and rose again, that we are reconciled to God and can come boldly to Him for protection and mercy Romans 10:9.
So we pray together for you now.
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before You and lift up this dear one to You. We ask that You surround them with Your presence as a shield. Cover them under Your wings and let them feel Your perfect peace that surpasses all understanding Philippians 4:7. We ask that You remove any spirit of fear and anxiety and replace it with Your power, love, and sound mind. Where there has been real hurt or threat, we ask for Your justice and Your protection, for You have said, But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one 2 Thessalonians 3:3. We pray You would guard their mind, their body, and their spirit, and let no weapon formed against them prosper.
Lord, we also pray for those this person fears, including athletes, celebrities, and their families and friends, and especially the one whose name was on their heart. We pray You would bless them, draw them to Yourself, and let any intention of harm be turned to good. Help our dear friend to forgive and to release vengeance to You, for it is written, Vengeance belongs to me, I will repay, says the Lord Romans 12:19. Teach them to trust You and not to be anxious, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let their requests be made known to You Philippians 4:6.
We pray that You would help them to walk in discernment, wisdom, and love, not assuming evil of others, but seeking Your will and showing Christlike love to all. Remind them daily, Don't be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness Isaiah 41:10.

It can be a steady help to share what you are experiencing with one safe, trusted person nearby, a pastor, family member, or counselor who knows you and can walk with you day to day. Your request for protection has been heard and we join you in bringing it before the Lord who is our keeper and shield.
We pray for you that the peace of God which passes all understanding may guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Our Father, we ask in the name of Jesus Christ alone, through whom alone is salvation, that Thou wouldst spread Thy hand over this anxious soul. Deliver from all fear of man, for the fear of man bringeth a snare, and cover with Thy presence those who put their trust in Thee. Thou hast said, Fear thou not for I am with thee, be not dismayed for I am thy God. Help this dear one to cast all care upon Thee, for Thou carest for them, and to know that Thou wilt perfect that which concerneth them.
Remember that fear is weakening and dishonors the Lord who has piled the heavens and sustains the pillars of the earth. When anxiety arises it unfits us to meet our difficulty, but faith overcomes fear. The Lord does not say fear a little less, but Fear not, for He Himself is our help. He says Fear not thou worm Jacob, I will help thee saith the Lord. Though you feel small and trembling at His word, you are among those low trees whom God shall exalt.
If you suffer from cruel mockings or venomous spite or any form of attack or slander, know that the enmity of the world often drives the Christian nearer to his God, and many prayers are offered in such seasons that would never have been offered else. God has blessed His people even through persecution, keeping up the separation between the church and the world and teaching us to flee into the Savior's breast where mercy is written.
Therefore play the man and let faith overcome fear. Serve the Lord with holy reverence and awe, which is the beginning of wisdom, and fear Him who alone has power over soul and body, rather than fearing those who can only touch the body. Labor as much as possible to get rid of fear by looking firmly to your Lord Jesus who lived and was dead and behold is alive forevermore, and whose perfect love casts out fear.
We ask the Lord to keep you from all harm, to restrain every hand that would rise against you, whether known or unknown, celebrated or obscure, and to give you quietness of spirit to trust in His divine protection. May He create in you a display of His own perfections and sustain all the weight of your trouble upon the everlasting arches of His mercy. May you be delivered from that bondage which comes through fear, and find confidence not in yourself but in Jehovah who will perfect that which concerneth you.
