God's protection at work

Iriorulance

Disciple of Prayer
Good day brethren. Been at a new appointment for a year now but work has become very hard because workmates have hated me much that I am now very worried about my movements. I need God to intervene and restore my freedom.

We understand the heavy burden you carry, and we are deeply grieved to hear of the hostility and fear you are facing in your workplace. The hatred of others can feel overwhelming, but we must remember that our struggle is not against flesh and blood but against spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12). The Lord sees your distress, and He is your refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). It is vital to recognize that no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and the Lord will fight for you while you remain still (Exodus 14:14).

We notice that your request does not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to gently but firmly remind you that there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father (John 14:6), and it is in His name that we boldly approach the throne of grace to receive mercy and find help in time of need (Hebrews 4:16). Without faith in Christ, our prayers cannot be heard, for He is the mediator between God and man (1 Timothy 2:5). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus, we urge you to do so now, confessing Him as Lord and believing in your heart that God raised Him from the dead (Romans 10:9). Salvation and protection come through Him alone.

As for the hatred you face at work, we must also ask: have you examined your own heart and actions to ensure there is nothing in you that may have provoked this strife? The Bible commands us to live at peace with everyone, as far as it depends on us (Romans 12:18). If there has been any wrongdoing on your part, we encourage you to seek reconciliation and repentance, for the Lord blesses the peacemakers (Matthew 5:9). However, if this hatred is unjustified, take heart—Jesus Himself warned that the world would hate His followers because it first hated Him (John 15:18-19). Your suffering for righteousness’ sake is not in vain, and the Lord will reward you (1 Peter 3:14).

Let us also remind you that fear is not from the Lord. He has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7). Do not allow anxiety to rule your heart, but cast all your cares upon Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6).

Now, let us pray for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother who is facing such great opposition and fear in his workplace. Lord, You are the God who sees all things, and nothing is hidden from Your sight. You know the hatred he endures and the anxiety that weighs upon his heart. We ask that You would intervene mightily on his behalf, Lord. Softening the hearts of those who oppose him, turning their hatred into kindness, or removing him from this place of affliction if it is Your will. Grant him wisdom to navigate this season, and fill him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).

Father, we rebuke the spirit of fear that has taken hold of him and declare that You have not given him a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. Strengthen him, Lord, and let him walk in the confidence that You are his protector and defender. Surround him with Your angels, Lord, and let no harm come near him (Psalm 91:11). If there is any sin in his life that has contributed to this strife, convict him and lead him to repentance, that he may be restored and walk in righteousness.

We pray that You would open doors for him, Lord—doors that no man can shut (Revelation 3:8). If it is Your will for him to remain in this workplace, grant him favor with those in authority and let him be a light in the darkness, reflecting Your love and grace. But if this place is not where You would have him stay, provide a way of escape and lead him to a place of blessing and peace.

Most of all, Father, we pray that he would draw near to You in this time of trial. Let him seek Your face daily, finding his strength and hope in You alone. Remind him that You are his shepherd, and he shall not want (Psalm 23:1). You prepare a table before him in the presence of his enemies (Psalm 23:5), and You will never leave him nor forsake him (Deuteronomy 31:6).

We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who has conquered sin, death, and the grave. May Your will be done, and may Your name be glorified in this situation. Amen.

Brother, we encourage you to stand firm in your faith, knowing that the Lord is with you. Read and meditate on Psalm 27, which declares, “The Lord is my light and my salvation. Whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life. Of whom shall I be afraid?” (Psalm 27:1). Cling to His promises, and do not waver in trust. If you feel led, fast and pray about this matter, seeking the Lord’s direction with urgency. He is faithful, and He will answer.

Finally, we urge you to find fellowship with other believers who can stand with you in prayer and encouragement. Isolation can make the burden feel heavier, but in community, we find strength (Ecclesiastes 4:9-12). May the Lord grant you peace, protection, and a swift resolution to this trial. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). He will never fail you.

We're right here with you, brother. We feel your worry and we're lifting you up in prayer. You're not alone in this, and we're reminded of Psalm 147:3, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." God sees your distress, and He's ready to comfort and strengthen you.

Let's pray together, "Dear Lord, we come to You today, laying our ### situation at Your feet. We ask for Your protection over him, that You would shield him from harm and fill him with Your peace. Help him to trust in You, even in the face of adversity. Give him wisdom to navigate this difficult situation, and open doors for him, leading him to where You want him to be. Most importantly, draw him close to You, Lord. Help him to find his strength and hope in You alone. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

We want to thank you for allowing us the honor of lifting your situation before the Lord these past few days. It has been our privilege to stand with you in prayer, asking God to be your shield and defender in this difficult season at your workplace. We know how heavy the burden of hostility can feel, especially when it begins to affect your peace and sense of safety, and we’ve been earnestly seeking the Lord to surround you with His protection and to turn the hearts of those around you.

As we wait on the Lord together, we encourage you to reflect on how He may have already been at work—whether through small moments of relief, unexpected support, or even a deepened trust in His sovereignty over your circumstances. If God has moved in ways you can see, we’d love for you to share a praise report with us so we can rejoice with you and give Him the glory. His answers don’t always come in the ways we expect, but they are always perfect and timely.

If this trial is still weighing heavily on you, please don’t hesitate to post an update or a new request. We are here to continue interceding for you, asking the Lord to break every chain of fear, to go before you in that workplace, and to restore not just your freedom, but also your joy and confidence in Him. Remember, you are not alone in this—He is with you, and so are we, standing firm in faith alongside you.

May the Lord fill you with His peace that surpasses all understanding as you keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith. We are praying for you to experience His presence in new and tangible ways, and for His favor to surround you like a shield. Keep trusting, keep seeking, and keep believing—He is faithful. In Jesus Name.
