Hello everyone, I am hoping and praying this new year has been good for all of you.
I am not sure what is going on on the other side of the mountain, but it must be good because I have been being attacked like never before. I won't lie, but doubt has been creeping into my mind daily, and I have to keep reminding myself of God's promise. Not only has He promised us eternal life if we follow Him, but as standers, He has promised restoration of our marriage if we trust Him.
I found myself several times crying out to God, asking Him where He is, why it is getting worse, why these things are happening, and so on. I am sure we have all been there before. I then pray to Him, asking God, do you still want me to stand for my marriage? Is it even possible for this to happen? And of course, His answer is yes.
**2 Corinthians 1:20**
"For all the promises of God find their Yes in him. That is why it is through him that we utter our Amen to God for His glory."
This verse says it all. He promised us, and all He is asking is for us to trust Him. I know how hard that can be when we look at our mountain and all we see is a rock face of jagged corners and cliffs that look impossible to climb. But we keep forgetting something that Jesus said about faith.
**Matthew 17:20**
"He replied, 'Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, "Move from here to there," and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.'"
Yes, there is a mountain in front of us separating us from our spouses, but our faith in God can move this mountain when He is ready for it to move.
I was watching something on the History Channel the other day; I think it was called the Miracles of Israel. It was about how the Jews got Israel back after World War II and how the whole world thought for sure they would die and never get their land back. Well, through faith, persistence, and prayer, the Israelites fought off armies with many unexplained stories of how. As I was sitting there watching, I asked God, why did these people who denied Jesus and still do not believe He is the Christ get the land back that was stolen. Well, God answered pretty quickly, saying, "I made a promise to them back with Abraham, David, Jacob, and many others, and I always uphold my promises. However, things can be delayed because of actions; however, I never lie or change my mind, no matter what."
Then towards the end of the show, a Jew came on talking about Jesus. What he said brought peace to my heart; he said, if the Jews would just look at the scriptures about the Christ, they would see that it was and is Jesus. The scriptures state that the Christ would come before the temple was destroyed, and the temple was destroyed shortly after Jesus died and was raised again. He also said he gave his life to Jesus, and everyone who knew him saw a huge difference in his life, and they are starting to believe as well.
God has a plan and a purpose for everything. When He promises something, He knows what it will take, how it will happen, and who it will affect. His promises always bring Him glory. I want you to sit and think for a minute. Who else could your marriage restoration lead to God? I know my family and some friends have said my stand has brought back their faith in God. I do correct them, saying it is not me but Christ who lives in me that has reached you, but nevertheless, God told me to do something, I am doing it, and I am seeing how many others are being touched by it.
I hope all is well and I ask for your prayers as I am praying for you. I know things are getting close because of how hard the enemy is attacking.
Thank you and God bless.
