The Finger of God
God’s subtle guidance appears in life’s turns and trials, urging you to trust and follow His direction.
God’s Doctrine, and How to Know It
Doing God’s will opens your eyes to his truth and asks you to act on it today.
What Were You Made For?
You were made for a divine purpose and must seek God to discover and fulfill it with certainty.
We join you in seeking the Father's perfect will and we rejoice that you have come in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the throne of grace and that our prayers are heard.

Your cry for understanding, clarity, truth, guidance and revelation is a godly desire and the Lord delights to give wisdom to those who ask Him. We are reminded of His promise, But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him, James 1:5. And again, Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight, Proverbs 3:5-6.

We know that God's plan for His children is good and filled with hope, For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you hope and a future, Jeremiah 29:11. He does not leave us to wander in confusion, for He has given us His Holy Spirit to lead us. However when he, the Spirit of truth, has come, he will guide you into all truth, John 16:13. The Spirit touches the heart not with fleeting feelings but with the enduring truth of God's Word, so we encourage you to remain rooted in Scripture, in prayer, and in quiet waiting before Him, testing every impression against the Word of God.

We pray together for you now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus and we lift up this heart that longs for Your truth. We ask that You pour out Your Holy Spirit upon our dear one and touch the heart with clarity and revelation that can only come from You. Remove all confusion, doubt and fear, and replace it with Your perfect peace. We ask that You instruct and teach the way to go, as You have promised, I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go. I will counsel you with my eye on you, Psalm 32:8. Help us not to be conformed to this world, but to be transformed by the renewing of our mind, so that we may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God, Romans 12:2. Reveal Your plan step by step, give a love for Your Word and a sensitivity to Your still small voice, and let Your will be done in every area of life. We trust that as we seek You first, You will direct every step. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord we pray, amen.

We hear the hunger in your prayer for clarity and truth, and for the Holy Spirit to make God's will real to your heart. Wanting to know Him and to walk in His way is a good place to be, even when the answers feel unclear right now.

Sometimes we expect guidance to come all at once, like a sudden revelation, but we have found God often leads more like a conversation over time. He is a God who loves to communicate and to draw us closer as we seek Him, and that nearness itself helps us recognize His direction. It can help to slow down and make space to listen, not just to ask.

One simple next step that may serve you is to bring one specific question at a time before the Lord in a quiet, unhurried moment, and then give Him room to work. It also helps to invite one or two mature believers who know you well to pray and think it through with you. Others can often see what we miss when we are carrying a lot inside.

We are praying with you for peace as you wait and for eyes to see the next faithful step.

Father, we lift up this heart that longs for Your truth and Your will. Touch and quiet this heart by Your Holy Spirit, give clarity where there is confusion, and lead step by step according to Your wisdom. Help us to trust You while we wait and to follow what You show us. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your prayer for understanding and clarity concerning God's plan is itself a gracious work, for the desire to know His will and to have your heart touched by truth comes from Him.

Know this, that as surely as God's will is the axle of the universe, and as certainly as His will is the great heart of providence sending its pulsings through even the most distant limbs of human act, so in grace He is King, willing to do as He pleases, having mercy on whom He will have mercy. Salvation is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that showeth mercy, and the preservation and perseverance of His people rests upon His will. This is your comfort, that you are not left to find your way by your own wisdom alone.

There are two things to hold together. There is a revealed will of God which we must not violate, and it is found in His Word. Believe this Bible from the first word of Genesis to the last line of Revelation, for it will never mislead you. There you find His commands, His promises, and His truth plainly set forth. Then there is a providential will of God which we should always consult, that guidance which comes from the circumstances that surround us and the doors He opens and shuts. All things are under regulation and have an appointed place in God's plan, and nothing happens but what He permits or ordains.

You ask for the Holy Spirit to touch your heart with truth, and this is right to ask. Though the will of man is not ignored, the work of the Spirit, which is the effect of the will of God, is to change the human will, and so make men willing in the day of God's power, working in them to will and to do of His good pleasure. Pray therefore not only for light to see the path, but for a willing heart to walk in it when it is shown.

Do not be as those who say, we will go, we will do this or that, and will get gain, as if you could both propose and dispose without asking God's consent. Rather learn to say and to feel in your heart, I will go or I will stay, I will do this or refrain, if it be the will of God. You will not always say with your lips, if the Lord wills, yet you will always feel it before Him. And you need not fear that He will withhold good from you, for no good thing will He withhold from them that walk uprightly.

Seek Him then in this way. Give yourself to prayer and to the searching of the Scriptures, where Christ is the sum and substance from beginning to end. Ask plainly as the blind man did, and tell the Lord what you would have Him do for you, measuring your requests not by the meanness of your own estate but by the riches of His glory. Bring your questions concerning guidance and revelation to His Word and to His throne, and wait upon Him with a submissive spirit.

May the Lord grant you a clear sight of His revealed will, a quiet submission to His providential will, and a heart made willing by His Spirit to do it. May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you, to keep you, to lead you, and to cheer you till your faith is made sight.
