We hear your heart crying out for understanding and clarity regarding God's plan and we join with you in seeking His truth and guidance together in Jesus' name. We are encouraged that you are asking for the Holy Spirit to touch your heart and for the Father's will to be done, for that is exactly where true wisdom and revelation are found.

Scripture assures us that God desires to make His will known to His children. He says in Jeremiah 29:11, For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future. And in Proverbs 3:5-6 we are told, Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. When we lack wisdom we can ask confidently, for James 1:5 promises, But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.

Jesus Himself promised the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives when He said in John 16:13, However when he, the Spirit of truth, has come, he will guide you into all truth. The Holy Spirit does not speak on His own but reveals what He hears from the Father, leading us into truth and revealing what is to come. God also promises in Psalm 32:8, I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go. I will counsel you with my eye on you. And His Word remains our sure guide, for Psalm 119:105 says, Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light for my path.

Father, we come before Your throne in the mighty name of Jesus and we thank You that You are a God who reveals truth and who does not leave Your children in confusion. We ask that You pour out Your Holy Spirit upon our dear one who is seeking You, touch the heart with Your truth, remove any cloud of doubt or fear, and grant clear revelation and understanding of Your perfect plan. Help us to not lean on our own understanding but to acknowledge You in all our ways, trusting that You will direct our paths. Give liberally of Your wisdom as You have promised, instruct and counsel us with Your loving eye upon us, and let Your Word light each step. We surrender to Your will, asking that Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven, and that You would give peace and confidence to rest in Your timing and Your purpose. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and our access to You, amen.

We encourage you to continue to seek Him diligently through prayer and through daily reading of His Word, for it is there He speaks most clearly. In Jeremiah 33:3 He says, Call to me, and I will answer you, and will show you great and difficult things, which you don’t know. Keep calling, keep listening, and keep trusting, for He is faithful to guide those who seek Him with a whole heart and to reveal His good and perfect will in His perfect time.

Thank you for bringing this desire before the Lord so simply. Wanting truth and clarity and to know the Father's will is a good place to be, and we hear how much you want the Holy Spirit to make things clear in your heart.

Sometimes when we long for full understanding all at once, it helps to remember God often guides us one step at a time as we walk close to Him. That does not remove the questions, but it can take some pressure off needing every answer right now while you keep seeking Him faithfully.

One thing that may help this week is to get quiet before God with what is most on your heart. Write down in your own words the specific area where you are asking for guidance, and bring it to Him in prayer, then share it with one trusted, mature believer who knows you and can listen and pray with you. Guidance often becomes clearer in that kind of honest prayer and community.

We are praying with you.

Father, we ask You to draw near to our friend and touch their heart with Your truth. Give clarity where there is confusion and quiet confidence to follow Your will step by step. Lead by Your Holy Spirit and give peace as they trust You. In Jesus name, amen.

Your prayer for clarity and truth and guidance is itself a good sign of the Spirit's work within you, for it is the work of the Spirit which is the effect of the will of God to change the human will and so make men willing in the day of God's power, working in them to will and to do of His own good pleasure.

Be assured that as surely as God's will is the axle of the universe, as certainly as His will is the great heart of providence sending its pulsings through even the most distant limbs of human act, so in grace He is King, willing to do as He pleases, having mercy on whom He will have mercy. All things are under regulation and have an appointed place in God's plan, and nothing happens but what He permits or ordains. Knowing that, you do well to pray, Your will be done, Father, and to feel it in your heart even when you do not speak it with your lips.

There are two ways in which that will is to be sought. There is a revealed will which we must not violate, and it is found in the Inspired Word of God. Believe in this Bible from the first word of Genesis to the last line of Revelation. It will never mislead you, it has never misled anybody. There you will find that whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely, and that salvation is of God's will through Jesus Christ alone. And there is also a Providential will of God which we should always consult, with guidance which comes from the circumstances that surround us. You will often stumble on a record of God's providential dealings or a paragraph concerning His wonderful love that will cheer your heart and make the way plain.

Therefore bring your desire before the Savior as He stands ready to hear you. Whatever your desire may be, He will hear you and attend to it. Tell Him what it is you are desirous to ask, and let the riches of His glory rather than the meanness of your estate measure the compass of your requests. Ask the Father to touch your heart with truth by the Holy Spirit, to give you understanding not only to know His will but to love it and to do it, and to keep you unspotted from the ways of the world while you walk in His way.

I pray that the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ will be with you, that you may be kept in His revealed truth, guided by His providence, and made willing to follow whithersoever He leads, until His will is fully accomplished in you and you are presented in His glory.
