God’s plan

Beloved of All
Need a good understanding, clarity, truth, guidance, revelation❤️‍🩹 Holy Spirit, Touch my heart with the truth in Jesus name Your will be done Father! In Jesus name

We join with you in this beautiful and humble cry for understanding, clarity, truth and revelation, and we rejoice that you have asked for the Holy Spirit to touch your heart and that you have submitted all to the Father's will in the name of Jesus.

Your desire to know God's plan and to walk in His truth is pleasing to Him, for He longs to guide His children and to reveal Himself to those who seek Him with their whole heart. We are encouraged by your prayer, Your will be done Father, for this is the very heart of Jesus who taught us to pray, Your Kingdom come. Your will be done, as in heaven, so on earth Matthew 6:10.

Scripture assures us that God does not leave us in confusion but gives wisdom and direction to those who ask in faith. Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight Proverbs 3:5-6. If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him James 1:5. For we know that His plans for us are good and filled with hope, For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future Jeremiah 29:11.

We also take comfort that the Holy Spirit Himself is our guide into all truth. When you ask for the Holy Spirit to touch your heart with the truth, you are asking according to His promise. However when he, the Spirit of truth, has come, he will guide you into all truth John 16:13. He does this most clearly through the Word of God, which is a lamp to our feet. Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light for my path Psalm 119:105. And He promises personal guidance, I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go. I will counsel you with my eye on you Psalm 32:8.

We pray together for you now.

Father in heaven, we come before Your throne of grace in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, and we lift up this seeking heart to You. We thank You that You are a God who reveals Yourself and who does not withhold good from those who walk uprightly. We ask that You pour out Your Holy Spirit upon our dear one in a fresh way, touching the heart with Your truth, removing all confusion, doubt and fear. Grant clarity where there is uncertainty, wisdom where there is questioning, and revelation where there is longing to know Your plan. Help this heart to be still and to know that You are God, to trust not in human understanding but in Your perfect and pleasing will. Transform and renew the mind through Your Word, so that Your good and acceptable and perfect will may be proven Romans 12:2. We surrender every decision, every step and every future plan to You, asking that Your will be done in this life as it is in heaven. Give peace that surpasses all understanding as You make the path straight and Your purpose clear. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, amen.

We encourage you to continue to seek Him daily in prayer and in the Scriptures, for faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. Wait patiently upon Him, be still and listen, and He will be faithful to direct your steps in His perfect timing. Call to me, and I will answer you, and will show you great things, and difficult, which you don’t know Jeremiah 33:3. Keep surrendering your heart to Him and He will give you the understanding and guidance you seek.

We hear the hunger in your prayer for truth and clarity, and we are grateful you brought it to the Lord so honestly. Wanting His will above your own is a good place to be, even when it feels uncertain. It makes sense that you would ask the Holy Spirit to make things clear, He is our helper and guide.

One thing we have found helpful when guidance feels foggy is to narrow the focus a bit. It can help to write down the specific question or decision on your heart, bring it to God each day in a quiet moment without rushing for an answer, and also invite one trusted, mature believer who knows you to listen and pray with you. Clarity often comes not all at once but as we stay close to God, use the wisdom He has already given, and pay attention to the steady sense of peace or check that grows over time. You do not have to figure it all out alone.

We are praying for you as you wait and listen.

Father, we lift our friend to You and ask You to touch their heart with Your truth. Give them a clear sense of Your presence and gentle direction for the next step, and help them rest in Your care as You lead. We ask this in Jesus' name, amen.

Your prayer for understanding, clarity and truth is heard, and it is right and good to bring it before the Father in the name of Jesus and to ask the Holy Spirit to touch the heart with truth.

All things are under regulation and have an appointed place in God's plan, and nothing happens but what He permits or ordains. As surely as God's will is the axle of the universe, as certainly as His will is the great heart of providence sending its pulsings through even the most distant limbs of human act, so we may rest assured that He is King, willing to do as He pleases, having mercy on whom He will have mercy. Here we find that the preservation, the perseverance and the eternal hope of God's people rests upon His will.

Yet while many of God's purposes are hidden from us, there is a revealed will which we must not violate. That revealed will is found in the Inspired Word of God. Believe this Bible from the first word of Genesis to the last line of Revelation. It will never mislead you. It has never misled anybody. If you would know God's plan and His guidance, you must go to that Word daily, for it is there that His will about the future and about your present duty is made plain.

There is also a Providential will of God which we should always consult. With this guidance, which comes from the circumstances that surround us, believers are familiar. They said, we will go, we will continue, we will buy, we will sell, we will get gain. But it is foolish for a man to feel that he can do as he likes and that everything will fall out as he desires, and has not to ask God's consent at all. Rather say in your heart, I will go, or I will stay, if it is the will of God. You need not always say with the lips, if the Lord wills, yet you will always feel it.

You ask for the Holy Spirit to work in you, and this is the very promise of grace, that though the will of man is not ignored, and men are not saved against their wills, the work of the Spirit, which is the effect of the will of God, is to change the human will, and so to make men willing in the day of God's power, working in them to will and to do of His own good pleasure. Pray then that He would make you willing to receive and to obey the truth as He shows it.

And remember the gracious invitation which stands open to all, whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely. Salvation is of God's will, and whosoever will may come to Christ. If you have not yet done so, come to Him first for mercy and for new life, for no good thing will He withhold from them that walk uprightly, and all good things are given in Christ.

So I pray for you, that the Lord would grant you a clear mind to understand His Word, a tender conscience to obey His revealed will, a watchful eye to see His providential hand, and a willing heart wrought upon by His Spirit. May you be kept from leaning upon your own understanding, and may you be led step by step in the path which He appoints, doing His will and finding your best profit in doing it. May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you as you seek Him, and may His Word cheer your heart and keep you till He brings you safely home.
