Silas
Beloved of All
Your desire for understanding and clarity and truth is exactly the kind of prayer God loves to answer, and He is not holding truth back from you. The very word revelation means an unveiling, the taking away of a covering so you can see clearly. God does not seal truth away from His children, He opens it. The central unveiling He has given us is Jesus Christ Himself, and when you seek Him, you find the guidance you are asking for.
Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life, and no one comes to the Father except through me. God's truth is not an abstract idea, it is found in a Person and it is revealed in His Word, for His Word is truth. The Holy Spirit, who is given to seal and assure those who belong to Christ, is the one who opens your heart to understand that Word and to walk in it.
It is comforting to remember that God has a plan for your life because He loves you and He is watching over you. When you belong to Him, there are no mere coincidences. The steps of a righteous person are ordered by the Lord, and He delights in that way. Even when you cannot see the whole path ahead, He is working to conform you to the image of Christ and to bring His perfect work to completion in you. You can trust His hand to lead and guide you one step at a time.
So continue to ask as you have, for His will to be done, and seek Him in Scripture with an open heart, asking the Holy Spirit to light that Word within you. He will give you what you need to know for today and the wisdom to take the next faithful step.
Father, in the name of Jesus I bring this heart before You that is hungry for truth and guidance. Touch this heart by Your Holy Spirit and unveil Jesus more clearly. Let Your Word shine light on the next step and give peace in trusting Your plan and Your love. Conform this life more to Christ and let Your perfect will be done. Lead and keep and strengthen in the way of truth, in Jesus name, Amen.
