Your longing for clarity and truth and for the Holy Spirit to touch your heart is precious to God, and He hears your prayer that His will be done.
God is not hiding His plan from you. The word translated revelation means an unveiling, the taking away of a covering so something can be seen clearly. It is the opposite of a sealed book. What God gave to Jesus Christ to show to His servants was sent by His angel to John, and throughout that unveiling an angel guides John, elders speak to him, and Jesus Himself speaks to him. The central character all the way through is Jesus Christ, first as He relates to His church and oversees it, and then as the coming King of kings and Lord of lords. To seek God's plan is above all to seek to see Jesus more clearly, because every part of God's revelation points to Him.
The Holy Spirit's great purpose in your life is to conform you to the image of Christ. As His work is completed in you, you begin to respond as Jesus responds, to love as He loves, to forgive as He forgave, and to be His representative in this world, a true and faithful witness of who He is just as He was the faithful witness of the Father. That is God's intent for you. When you ask for truth and guidance, you are asking for what the Spirit already desires to do.
You can trust His leading as you walk with Him. For the one who belongs to God there are no mere coincidences. The steps of a righteous person are ordered by the Lord and He delights in that way. As you acknowledge Him in all your ways, He will direct your paths. His Word will light a fire within you again and give light to your steps. Even in this world where Jesus said you will have tribulation, you can rest in the continual testimony of heaven that God's judgments and His ways are completely righteous and fair. He will not leave you without witness.
The prayer Jesus taught us will be answered fully, that the Father's kingdom will come and His will be done on earth as it is in heaven, and that includes His will for your life today.
I pray that the Father will give you understanding and revelation by His Spirit, that He will open your heart to the truth of Jesus Christ, that He will make His will clear to you through His Word, and that He will shape you more into the likeness of His Son so that your life reflects Him. May He quiet your heart with His peace and guide you step by step as you trust Him, in Jesus' name.
