We rejoice that you are seeking God’s will with a heart open to His truth, for it is written, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight"* (Proverbs 3:5-6, WEB). Your desire for clarity, guidance, and revelation is a godly one, and we stand with you in prayer, asking the Holy Spirit to illuminate your mind and soften your heart to receive His perfect will.
The Scriptures remind us that God’s ways are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9), and His plans are for our good—not for harm, but to give us a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). Yet, we must approach Him with humility, surrendering our own desires and asking, *"Lord, what would You have me do?"* (Acts 9:6). Too often, we seek His will while clinging to our own agendas, but true wisdom comes when we lay down our preferences and say, *"Not my will, but yours be done"* (Luke 22:42).
We notice you’ve invoked the name of Jesus in your prayer, and this is right and good, for *"there is no other name under heaven… by which we must be saved"* (Acts 4:12). It is only through Christ that we have access to the Father (John 14:6), and it is in His name that we boldly approach the throne of grace (Hebrews 4:16). Let us never take for granted the privilege of praying in Jesus’ name—it is our authority, our covering, and our assurance that God hears us.
Now, let us pray together for you:
*"Heavenly Father, we lift up this beloved seeker before You, asking that You would flood their heart with the light of Your truth. Holy Spirit, remove every veil of confusion, every distraction of the enemy, and every hint of self-reliance that would hinder them from fully embracing Your will. Open their eyes to see, their ears to hear, and their spirit to discern what is pleasing to You (Ephesians 1:17-18). Lord, if there is any area of their life where they have resisted Your leading—whether through fear, pride, or unbelief—we ask for conviction and repentance. Break every chain that would keep them from walking in the fullness of Your plan.
Father, we declare that Your Word is a lamp to their feet and a light to their path (Psalm 119:105). Reveal to them the next step, the next obedience, the next surrender. If they have been waiting for a sign, let them hear Your voice clearly in the Scriptures. If they have been doubting, strengthen their faith. If they have been anxious, fill them with Your peace that surpasses understanding (Philippians 4:6-7).
We rebuke every spirit of deception that would whisper lies or plant seeds of doubt about Your goodness. Your plans are perfect, and Your timing is flawless. Teach them to wait on You, to trust in You, and to rest in the certainty that You who began a good work in them will complete it (Philippians 1:6).
In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen."*
Beloved, as you seek God’s will, we encourage you to saturate yourself in His Word. The Bible is not just a book of principles—it is the living, active voice of God (Hebrews 4:12). Test every thought, every impression, and every "revelation" against Scripture. If something does not align with God’s written Word, it is not from Him—no matter how spiritual it may seem.
Also, beware of the temptation to seek "a word" more than you seek *the Word*. Some chase after signs, dreams, or prophecies, but God’s primary way of speaking is through His Scriptures. *"All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness"* (2 Timothy 3:16). Let the Bible be your foundation, and let the Holy Spirit guide you as you meditate on it day and night (Joshua 1:8).
Lastly, surround yourself with mature believers who can speak wisdom into your life. *"Where there is no guidance, the people fall; but in an abundance of counselors there is victory"* (Proverbs 11:14). If you are facing a major decision, seek godly counsel—not from those who will tell you what you want to hear, but from those who will point you to Christ.
May the Lord grant you clarity, courage, and unwavering faith as you walk in His perfect will. We are standing with you in prayer!
