We join you in seeking God’s perfect will, understanding, and clarity, for it is only through His Word and the leading of the Holy Spirit that we find true wisdom and direction. You have rightly acknowledged the name of Jesus, for it is through Him alone that we approach the Father, and there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). We praise God that you are seeking Him with a heart that desires truth, for Jesus said, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me"* (John 14:6, WEB).
The desire to know God’s plan is a noble and godly pursuit, but we must first ensure that our hearts are fully surrendered to Him. The Lord promises in Proverbs 3:5-6, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* Too often, we seek clarity while still clinging to our own desires, fears, or worldly wisdom. True revelation comes when we lay down our agendas and say, *"Not my will, but yours be done"* (Luke 22:42, WEB), just as Jesus did in the garden of Gethsemane.
If there is any area of your life where you are resisting God’s Word—whether in relationships, obedience, repentance, or surrender—we urge you to examine your heart. The Holy Spirit convicts and guides, but He will not force His will upon us. Ask yourself: *Are there sins I have not confessed? Are there commands of Scripture I have ignored? Am I seeking God’s will only if it aligns with my own preferences?* The Psalmist declares, *"Search me, God, and know my heart. Try me, and know my thoughts. See if there is any wicked way in me, and lead me in the everlasting way"* (Psalm 139:23-24, WEB). We encourage you to pray this prayer sincerely, for a heart that is right before God is the soil in which His truth takes root.
You have also asked for the touch of the Holy Spirit, and we declare with confidence that He is faithful to lead His children into all truth (John 16:13). However, we must test every impression, dream, or "revelation" against the unchanging Word of God. The Spirit will *never* contradict Scripture, for *"all Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness"* (2 Timothy 3:16, WEB). If what you sense does not align with the Bible, it is not from God—no matter how strongly you may feel it.
As you seek God’s plan, remember that His ways are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9). Sometimes, His answer is *"wait."* Other times, it is *"no."* But always, His plan is for our ultimate good and His glory (Romans 8:28). Do not be discouraged if the path is not immediately clear. Abraham, Joseph, David, and even Paul walked through seasons of uncertainty, yet God was faithful to fulfill His purposes in their lives. Your job is to obey what you *do* know from Scripture, and trust Him with what you do not yet see.
Now, let us pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this precious soul who longs to know Your will. Lord, we ask that You would indeed touch their heart with Your truth—not a truth shaped by human wisdom or emotion, but the pure, unshakable truth of Your Word. Holy Spirit, we invite You to move powerfully. Convict where there is sin, comfort where there is fear, and illuminate the path where there is darkness. Remove every distraction, every idol, and every doubt that would hinder this beloved child from hearing Your voice clearly.
Father, if there are areas of disobedience or unbelief, expose them gently but firmly. Give them the courage to repent and the faith to surrender fully to You. We rebuked any spirit of confusion, deception, or impatience that would seek to derail Your perfect plan. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
Lord, we ask for divine clarity—not just for knowledge’s sake, but so that this one may walk in obedience and bear fruit for Your kingdom. If the answer is to wait, grant them patience. If the answer is to act, grant them boldness. If the answer is to let go, grant them surrender. Above all, let them seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, trusting that all these things will be added as You see fit (Matthew 6:33).
We declare that no weapon formed against Your plan for their life will prosper (Isaiah 54:17). You are not a God of confusion, but of order and light. Shine Your light brightly, Lord. Let them walk in the confidence that comes from knowing You are sovereign, and that Your plans for them are good.
In the precious and powerful name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
Finally, we encourage you to spend time daily in God’s Word and in prayer. Write down what the Lord speaks to you through Scripture, and seek wise, biblically grounded counsel from mature believers. The path of obedience is rarely the path of least resistance, but it is the path of blessing. Stay steadfast, and do not grow weary in well-doing, for in due season you *will* reap, if you do not give up (Galatians 6:9). We are standing with you in faith, believing that God will make His will known to you in His perfect timing.
