God's Perfect Timing

Hello all I hope you are all doing well, and getting closer to our God in this time of trial and learning. Now I know I wrote about waiting on God's timing for the healing of our marriages, but I didn't go into detail about what can happen if we take matters into our own hands.

We all know that there is nothing we can do to change our situation except to trust in God and His infinite wisdom to change the situation for us. However, that doesn't stop us from trying to push the issue with our spouses saying you should come back, it will be better, and so on. As some of us have learned, that seems to anger our spouses and pushes them away further. We need to show them we love them by waiting and praying for them, God will do the rest. Patience is a hard thing to have in this day and age of instant gratification, plus I am no doctor so I have no patience (Sorry bad joke). If patience is an issue with you then pray to God to give you wisdom on how to have patience, and then trust in Him knowing James 1:15 If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.

How do we trust in God and wait on His timing? Well, the answer is in the question: it is TRUST. God's word says many times about waiting on the Lord and how it will happen Habakkuk 2:3 For still the vision awaits its appointed time; it hastens to the end—it will not lie. If it seems slow, wait for it; it will surely come; it will not delay. This verse is saying God's word does not lie, what He has said will happen in the time it is supposed to happen, so in other words STOP WORRYING ABOUT IT. God does not want us to worry about anything, instead He wants us to lean, trust, and push into Him for all answers.

So what happens if we don't trust in God's timing and start making things happen on our own? One word: disaster. Let's go back to Genesis and the story of Abraham. God promised Abraham a son and Sarah was a little concerned due to her being barren and both of their old age that this son would not come from her. So she decided to have Abraham lay with her maidservant and sure enough a son named Ishmael was born. Yes, it is a son; however, God said plainly that Sarah would bear the child with Abraham and Sarah instead of trusting God took matters into her own hands. And Abraham is not innocent in this either; he obeyed his wife's wishes and laid with the maidservant as well, thinking he was doing right by the Lord. Well, sure enough, after some time, Sarah became pregnant with Isaac and now Abraham has two children, direct descendants of him. I know you're thinking well, that's a good thing because now he has two children and God still followed through with His promise to Abraham. Yes, indeed He did because when God says something He always follows through with it regardless; however, let's fast forward to the offspring of Isaac and Ishmael. These two tribes and their descendants have been in war even to this day. Imagine the millions, maybe even billions of lives lost because of these wars. Ishmael (Arab) and Isaac (Israelite) are still in a constant battle between the land of Israel. All because worry crept into Sarah and she didn't completely trust in the Lord with her bearing a child.

We need to trust in God's timing, knowing that He understands our lives and how long we have here on this planet, His promise will come to pass; we just need to trust in Him. God knows how and what will bring our spouses back, so lean unto Him for answers and wait for Him to move. You will know it's Him when unexplained things start happening. God is moving so praise Him even when it looks dark because that's the time God loves showing up, when it's dark and it looks hopeless, God changes everything.

I hope this helps someone
Thank you and God Bless

So true ###. When I first started to stand, I still kept trying to get my husband back by doing things and saying things but that just pushed him away even further. Now I don't try to pursue him at all and God has been moving tremendously. I urge everyone who is standing for their marriage to please DO NOT do or say anything that you think might get your spouse back. It can be disastrous! Let go and let God. I know it's hard to but trust me, the sooner you let go and let God work on you, the sooner He will work on your husband.
