God’s love, comfort, and presence

Beloved of All
Dear brothers and sisters, please pray that I may experience God’s love, comfort, and presence—again and again—in the name of Jesus Christ! I have endured many years of hardship... And let us pray that, if it be God’s will and in His perfect timing, I may also experience the victories and blessings that come from our Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ! The Word of God says that He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds; please pray that God will heal my heart and bind up my wounds with His love—I am in great need of this... Thank you for your compassion and support; may God bless you...

The Ministry of Gratitude
True gratitude for Christ’s healing moves us to serve Him immediately in everyday acts of love.
We join with you in seeking our Heavenly Father for His love, comfort and nearness to be made real to you again and again in the name of Jesus Christ, and we thank you for sharing your heart with us after enduring many years of hardship. We hear your longing and we stand with you in prayer that the Lord will meet you tenderly and faithfully each day.

The Word of God assures us of His heart toward those who are weary and wounded. Psalm 147:3 says He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds. Psalm 34:18 says Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. And 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 reminds us that He is the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction. Nothing can separate you from His love, for Romans 8:38-39 teaches us that neither death, nor life, nor any created thing will be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

We also join you in praying according to His will and His perfect timing for the victories and blessings that come from our Father's hand. We know His timing is perfect and His ways are loving, and Lamentations 3:22-23 tells us His loving kindnesses indeed never fail, they are new every morning, great is His faithfulness. Even in long seasons of trial, He is working for good for those who love Him, and Isaiah 41:10 encourages us, Don't you be afraid, for I am with you, don't be dismayed, for I am your God, I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.

We pray together now. Father in heaven, we lift up this dear one to You in the name of Jesus Christ. Pour out Your love and Your comforting presence upon this heart that has carried so much for so long. Let Your nearness be felt again and again, let Your peace guard this heart and mind, and let Your healing touch bind up every wound. Heal what has been broken, restore what has been weary, and remind this soul that You see, You know, and You care deeply. If it be Your will and in Your perfect timing, grant victories and blessings that bring glory to You and joy to this life, and help this one to walk in Your strength day by day. We ask this in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus Christ, our hope and our salvation, amen.

We encourage you to remain close to Him through prayer and through His Word, to cast all your worries on Him because He cares for you, 1 Peter 5:7, and to rest in the promise of John 14:27 where Jesus says Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you. Keep seeking Him daily, trusting that He who has kept you through hardship will continue to carry you, comfort you and heal you with His everlasting love.

Thank you for letting us pray with you. We hear the weight of many hard years in your words and how deeply you long to feel God's love, comfort and nearness again, not just in a moment but again and again. That longing itself matters to God.

When hurt has been long, it can be hard to sense His presence even when He is near. We have found that God often makes His comfort tangible in quiet, steady ways and through the kind presence of other believers who sit with us, listen and walk alongside us over time. Healing of the heart is usually not a single event but a gentle process as we invite Christ into the painful places and let Him tend to them.

A steady next step that may help is to not walk this road alone. If you have a trusted pastor, elder or small community in your church, consider asking one person to meet with you regularly to pray and listen as you share what you have carried. You do not need to have words for everything at once.

Father, we bring our friend before You in Jesus' name. Wrap them in Your love and nearness in the days ahead. Bind up what is wounded and give rest to their heart as only You can. Lead them step by step in Your will and timing, and let them know they are seen and held by You. Amen.

There is comfort for you in the very Word you have quoted, for He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds, and what He has said He will surely do. We have carried your request before the Lord and we do pray that you may experience His love, His comfort, and His conscious presence again and again, in the name of Jesus Christ.

You have endured many years of hardship, and your heart is sore wounded. Remember the tender word of the Lord by the prophet, As one whom his mother comforts, so will I comfort you. When a child is very sick and very fretful, its poor little head and heart out of order, the mother comforts it again and again and again, and soft words are always on her lips. So does the Lord comfort His people. His heart is as near to you now as when you were on the mountain rejoicing in the full sunshine of His love, for with Him there is not the shadow of a change. He has not ceased to comfort you, and He will not cease. As it is written, Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith your God, it is the Father's yearning heart caring even for the little things of His children.

We pray also as you have asked, that if it be His will and in His perfect timing, you may know those victories and blessings which come from our Heavenly Father. The measure of divine goodness is the heart of God, not our poor, shriveled, cold heart. His heart is infinite and full of grace and love, and everything He does to His people is all love. If He caresses, it is love. If He chastens, it is love. If He smiles, it is love, and if He frowns, it is love still, for God is love and to His people nothing but love, boundless, eternal and unchangeable. Therefore ask according to His great heart, and trust His wisdom as to the time and manner of His answer.

Seek Him with a pure heart, for blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God. There is a heart by which we perceive the presence of God and feel His operations. Go to His house as well as to your closet, for there He delights to meet His people, and wait upon Him with humble faith. May the Lord open your eyes to perceive His boundless mercies, and may you know that you are as much loved of God as if there were none but you for Him to love, since He gave His only begotten Son to die as your Substitute.

Our prayer for you is this, O Lord our God, look upon this wounded heart and heal it. Thou who hast loved thine own with an everlasting love, let this thy child feel again the sweet savor of that love. Speak to the heart in solitude with a voice of infinite love. Bind up every wound by thine own hand, give the comfort which only thine omnipotent secret working can give, and let thy presence be felt as near and real. Grant victories and blessings as seemeth good in thy sight, and keep this soul till thou bringest it to thyself at the last, through Jesus Christ our Lord, in whose name alone is salvation. Amen.
