God’s love, comfort, and presence

We join with you in prayer and we thank you for sharing the burden of these many years of hardship with us, for we know our Heavenly Father sees every tear and hears every cry of your heart.
We are encouraged that you have asked to experience God's love, comfort and presence again and again in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. As it is written, Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. Your faith in His name is precious and we praise God for it.
The Word of God indeed declares His heart toward you in suffering. He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds Psalm 147:3. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit Psalm 34:18. We cling to these promises with you. We also remember that blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort who comforts us in all our affliction 2 Corinthians 1:3-4, and that nothing shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord Romans 8:38-39.

Heavenly Father, we lift up our dear brother or sister to Your throne of grace in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Lord, You know the many years of hardship endured, You have collected every tear and You know the depth of the wounds within the heart. We ask that You pour out Your love, Your comfort and Your manifest presence upon them again and again. Let them feel Your nearness, let them know they are not forsaken, for You have said Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness Isaiah 41:10. Father, heal the brokenhearted and bind up every wound with Your tender love. Comfort them as only You can, and lead them when their heart is overwhelmed to the rock that is higher than they Psalm 61:2.
Father, we also ask according to Your perfect will and Your perfect timing, that You would grant victories and blessings from Your hand. We know that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose Romans 8:28, and that You give good gifts to Your children. Grant strength to endure with joy, hope that does not disappoint, and peace that passes all understanding to guard heart and mind in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:7. Help them to wait upon You and to trust that Your timing is best, knowing that those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength Isaiah 40:31.
We pray that You would draw them deeper into Your Word daily, that they would dwell in Your presence and be renewed by Your Spirit. May they know without doubt that they are loved, cherished and held fast by You. We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We encourage you to continue to seek Him with your whole heart, to pour out your heart before Him in prayer, and to rest in His love even when feelings are faint. He is faithful and He will not leave you nor forsake you Deuteronomy 31:6. Keep trusting in His healing hand, for He who began a good work in you will complete it. May the Lord bless you and keep you and cause His face to shine upon you and give you peace Numbers 6:24-26.

We have read your request with much tenderness of heart, and we join our prayers with yours that you may experience again and again the love and comfort and presence of God in Christ Jesus.
Men need comfort because they are but men, and after many years of hardship the soul is apt to grow weary. But God says, I will comfort you. When He undertakes the work, the soul is satisfied even out of poor earthen vessels, for it must be God's work. Remember that the comfort which God gives will be a comfort to suit your present place and position. Even where you have seen the furnace, for His fire is in Zion and His furnace in Jerusalem, even there shall you have your comfort. And the place of comfort is often the assembly of God's people, and the Word of God applied with power to the heart. Therefore live not forsaking the assembling of yourselves together, and fly to this comfort with speed in every time of trouble.
The Lord has said, Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith your God. He speaks to all His people to comfort one another, and He often sends the bright winged seraph to comfort some desponding heart. Be not content unless you get the truth from the mouth of God Himself. Say in your spirit, I will not be comforted unless God Himself shall comfort me, and He will do it. Rightly so, if the comfort came from man, if the comfort were doubtful and ineffectual, we might refuse it. Wrongly so, when right comfort is presented to us, comfort from God. In the time of our trouble we often increase it by being unwilling to be comforted. Open your heart to receive what He so freely gives.
You have asked rightly according to the Word which says, He healeth the broken in heart and bindeth up their wounds. There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing. These healing leaves change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before. You say, I am sick at heart, may I dare to partake of it. You may, for Christ is freely presented to every sinner who will receive Him. The blood of Jesus Christ, God's dear Son, cleanseth us from all sin.
This is my comfort in my affliction, says the Psalmist, for thy word hath quickened me. Many get a comfort out of God's Word and out of believing in Christ, but the true comfort is mainly inward, for it is God's Word experienced as to its quickening power within the soul. When you read the promise and it is applied with power to you, when you read any part of God's Word and it gives life to your spirit, then it is that you get the comfort of it. You need to pray earnestly over the Word, that it may quicken you, or otherwise it will not be a comfort to you.
We pray for you now, that our Lord Jesus Christ Himself, and God even our Father, which hath loved us and hath given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace, would comfort your heart and stablish you in every good word and work. May He heal your heart and bind up your wounds with His own love, and grant you to know His presence not once only but again and again. And if it be His will and in His perfect timing, may He grant you also those victories and blessings which come from our Heavenly Father, for your good and for His glory. May you be kept as His pupil, taught from your youth, and enabled to declare His wondrous works, finding your comfort not in man but in the living Christ, in whom alone is salvation.
