🙌 God's Kingdom 1st 🙏 Then Our Needs Matt 6:9-13, cf, Matt 6:33... 📖 "Pray, then, in this way: 🙌 ‘Our Father who is in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom Come! Your will be done, On earth as it is in heaven!” 🙏"Give us our daily bread. Forgive our debts, as we forgive our debtors. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil 🐉🤺. For it’s Your Kingdom, Power and Glory Forever, Amen,” Matt 6:9-13, in Jesus' Name.

We come before the Lord with hearts full of gratitude for the wisdom and guidance found in His Holy Word, especially in the model prayer our Savior taught us. You’ve rightly pointed us to Matthew 6:9-13, where Jesus instructs us to prioritize God’s kingdom and His will above all else. This is not merely a suggestion but a foundational principle for every believer’s life. As we reflect on these verses, we are reminded that our prayers must first align with God’s purposes before we present our own needs.

The Lord’s Prayer begins with worship—"Our Father who is in heaven, hallowed be Your name"—acknowledging God’s holiness and sovereignty. This sets the tone for everything that follows. When we pray, "Your kingdom come! Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven," we are surrendering our own agendas and declaring that God’s purposes are supreme. This is not passive resignation but an active commitment to seek His kingdom first in all things, just as Jesus later commands in Matthew 6:33: "But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."

It is only after we have aligned ourselves with God’s kingdom and will that we are invited to bring our daily needs before Him—"Give us today our daily bread." This order is intentional. When we prioritize God’s kingdom, we trust that He will provide for our needs according to His riches in glory. The prayer also reminds us of our dependence on Him for forgiveness—"Forgive us our debts, as we also forgive our debtors"—and for protection from evil. This is a humbling reminder that we are not self-sufficient but entirely reliant on God’s grace and mercy.

We must also address the importance of praying in the name of Jesus. It is only through His name that we have access to the Father. Jesus Himself said in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." There is no other name by which we can approach God or be saved. If our prayers do not acknowledge Jesus as the mediator between God and man, they are incomplete. We must never take for granted the privilege of coming before the throne of grace because of what Christ has done for us on the cross.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts of worship, hallowing Your name above all else. Your kingdom is our greatest desire, and Your will is our highest priority. Forgive us, Lord, for the times we have sought our own ways before Yours. Teach us to seek You first in all things, trusting that You will provide for our needs as we align ourselves with Your purposes. We ask for Your daily bread, not just for physical sustenance but for the spiritual nourishment that comes from Your Word. Forgive us our debts, as we forgive those who have wronged us, and lead us away from temptation, delivering us from the evil one.

Lord, we acknowledge that it is only through the name of Jesus that we can come before You. We thank You for the sacrifice of Your Son, who made a way for us to have a relationship with You. Help us to live in a manner worthy of the calling we have received, always prioritizing Your kingdom and Your righteousness. May our lives reflect Your glory, and may our prayers be pleasing in Your sight. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.

We encourage you, dear brother or sister, to continue seeking God’s kingdom first in every area of your life. Whether in your personal walk, your family, your work, or your relationships, let His will be your guide. Remember that when you delight yourself in the Lord, He will give you the desires of your heart (Psalm 37:4), not because you have earned it, but because your desires will align with His. Trust in Him, and He will direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6). Keep praying, keep seeking, and keep trusting—God is faithful to His promises.

We join you in lifting our hearts to our Father in heaven. We're grateful for the reminder of the Lord's Prayer, a beautiful model of how we should approach God with humility and trust. As we pray, let's remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 11:28-29, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls." Let's come before God's throne with confidence, knowing that He cares for us deeply and desires to hear from us. Let's pray together, "Lord, we come to You today, weary but trusting. We lay our burdens at Your feet, knowing that You are more than able to carry them. Help us to seek Your kingdom first, to love You with all our hearts, and to love our neighbors as ourselves. Give us the grace to forgive as we have been forgiven, and the strength to resist temptation. We trust in Your love and care, and we thank You for the gift of Your Son, Jesus Christ. In His name, we pray, Amen."

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy.

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

"May the Lord bless you and protect you. May the Lord smile on you and be gracious to you. May the Lord show you his favor and give you his peace." Numbers 6:24-26

We are deeply grateful that you entrusted us with the privilege of standing in prayer with you, lifting up the sacred reminder of Matthew 6:9-13 and the call to seek God’s Kingdom first. What a beautiful act of faith it is to align our hearts with His will, asking for His kingdom to come and His will to be done on earth as it is in heaven. We have continued to pray in agreement with you, asking our Heavenly Father to draw near to you, to provide your daily bread, to lead you away from temptation, and to deliver you from evil—all for the glory of His name.

If, in these past days, you have seen the Lord move in answer to your prayers—whether in provision, protection, or peace—we would be overjoyed to hear your praise report. Your testimony could be a powerful encouragement to others walking a similar path. If, however, the answer hasn’t yet become clear, or if new burdens have arisen, we invite you to share them again. We are here to lift you up once more, trusting that our Father hears and answers according to His perfect timing and wisdom.

May the Lord continue to bless you as you seek Him with all your heart, leaning on the promise of Matthew 6:33 that all these things shall be added unto you when you seek first His kingdom and His righteousness. We remain steadfast in prayer, believing that He who began a good work in you will be faithful to complete it. In Jesus’ precious name, Amen.
